With the play in, pens has to win 19 games to raise the cup. I guess they want to keep their powder dry. - Landsbergfan
I actually take that back. 3rd period, esp last 10 mins, looked closest to a real game. |

Brayden Schenn is better than Kevin Hayes 🤷🏾♂️
Brayden Schenn gets paid less, more offensively gifted, faster and more physical than Hayes......but yeah, Hayes is better defensively, so end all, be all. I’m not gonna hold back this argument anymore. We traded Schenn three full seasons ago and are still waiting for all moves considered to go all our way. Instead we’re filling up our cap and making excuses for prospects. Time to shine Farabee and Frost. I’m just glad Lehtera is gone. |

Thr first hockey game since March was just played and it ended with a 3-2 Flyers victory.
The logical thing to do is argue about a player who scored one of those goals. |

I liked the Schenn trade. Never felt he was a solid two way guy. I liked his scoring touch and his physicality. But I like Hayes physicality better as how he wins so many battles and so hard to knock of the puck. Always felt Schenn was a pigeon.
I take Hayes. Just my opinion. Contract to contract.
Not that it was a trade. You just compared the two and that is way I commented on the two. I would love to have Schenn also. Just not over Hayes.

Bee didn't look sharp today. Same with Zamula.
These two kids have a huge future. They just looked their age today.
Not sure I would bench Thompson’s penalty killing abilities for what Bee showed today. Seen him a lot better in other games so he could bounce back.
Zamula hasn’t played for a long time. So he gets a pass. |

For sure, and considering how long it’s been and coming off back surgery, playing against NHL competition, I thought he was alright for the most part. He has so much potential. I think he will be great one day. Adding the bubble 15 will be a real plus too.

Agreed. Zamula is growing on me. But this was a huge jump for him. Liked that they wanted to get him some ice time. CF and AV must think highly of him.
Bee is a talent also. Top 6 kind of abilities with solid two way play. Would like him to get more work in the round robin for sure. |

Lots of positives from today.
PK was dominant
1st line had a few looks, timing little off but will be fine
Konecny dialed in... Fiesty and aggressive
Goaltending did their job.
Defense didn't look sloppy.. Had a few moments but not many
Hope Laughton has a run. Always hoped for Richards-like play from him and still think he can be part of core going forward. |

Laughton looked solid for most of the season. He is a real middle six player on a good team. The guy can contribute on 5v5 and PK for sure. |

Yes, Farabee is so talented now, but needs to get stronger. I think he looks his best in the top 6. If that means that he is more or an injury replacement during these playoffs than I think it is still very valuable experience for him.
Hope to see other bottom six options in the next game. |

It was smart to protect Laughts in the last expansion draft. They should keep him next as well.

So you're saying you'd rather have Schenn than Hayes, Frost and Farabee? Without trading schenn we prob dont land frost or farabee.
The other thing is the trade and Hayes signing were done by two different GMs. Flyers expected Nolan Patrick to replace Schenn. Unfortunately that didnt work out and we got forced to overpay to fill the 2C hole.
Schenn is making less now but his next contract will be higher than Hayes |

Imagine being so completely butt hurt by a signing that has clearly benefited your team this season that you’re saying things like “...he’s not even funny” or that a nickname, that the fans gave him by the way, is stupid. Hilarious.

For a guy who's never played a pro game, Zamula didn't look out of place. He didn't look like a superstar, but he didn't look like he couldn't hang. I'm not saying throw him in our top-6 and put him head-to-head with Crosby and Bergeron, just saying he didn't stand out for any bad reasons. |

As to the defense, I wouldn't be surprised to see Ghost starting to get reps with Braun . And considering how shaky the Sanheim Myers pair looked at times yesterday...... |

Is the Hayes-E double IPA only available in the Philly/S. Jersey area? I grew up in S. Jersey, but have been living in Northern VA for that past couple of decades. I love my Flyers, but I REALLY love a good double IPA 🍺 |
