As usual, Mike Schmidt's quote holds true even after an exhibition game:
"Philadelphia is the only city, where you can experience the thrill of victory and the agony of reading about it the next day." |

Let me tell the story of the three second line centers. One we had and shouldn’t have traded, so we didn’t have to go out and get another. The one we signed. And the one I would have traded for a year ago. Brayden Schenn, Kevin Hayes and Nazem Kadri.
Kadri had 5 points less than Hayes this season with 36 and a plus 7 but makes 4.5 million, with a balanced two way game. If Ghost is going the other way, we don’t eat cap space and it’s the deal I would have settled for.
Brayden Schenn since being traded was apart of a bad Blues team mid last season but helped rise their game and win a Stanley Cup. He’s since signed a 6.5 million contract and collected 58 points with a plus 3 rating. That’s 17 more points than Hayes. That’s a lot, even without Vladimir Tarasenko who was hurt most of this season.
What we have is Kevin Hayes who signed for 7 million and ended the season with 41 points and a minus 6. I’m not saying he’s a piled of poop because he does a lot of things well but I do think he’s slightly overpaid, overrated by the fan base and I’m not understanding why he’s an assistant captain over Niskanen or Provorov. If telling bad jokes between whistles is worth 7 million, he’s worth every penny. - SuperSchennBros
Well you can blame all of that on Hextall. Since he is gone there is no point arguing it because without Hayes this is a lottery team again. Not sure who wants that anymore. |

Interesting that they change the ads on the boards for each game. I guess that's so local markets see relevant ads. |

I just noticed that there is no netting behind the nets because it's not needed. |

For a guy who's never played a pro game, Zamula didn't look out of place. He didn't look like a superstar, but he didn't look like he couldn't hang. I'm not saying throw him in our top-6 and put him head-to-head with Crosby and Bergeron, just saying he didn't stand out for any bad reasons. - jmatchett383
Don’t get me wrongs. I’m impressed with both Bee and Zamula. And it was just one scrimmage game.
But I noticed several times Zamula and Bee getting knocked off the puck and coughing up the puck. Seemed to my untrained eye that they struggled. That is all.
Bee played better much of the season. Just wasn’t sharp yesterday.
Zamula playing his first game back against an NHL team was a big stretch for him. So I’m not worked up over it.
Both these kids are studs. |

Didn’t notice that. Makes sense. I thought it looked great on TV. I loved watching the game. |

Zamula has a long frame like Sanheim and Myers. He just needs to bulk up. He will learn you can't try the fancy plays against NHL competition. He seems to be confident with the puck. I think he will be a good one.

What is Zamula’s height and weight. Think I saw him listed at 6’3” but can’t remember the weight. |

The glass ads are CG. The board ads look real to me. Probably pretty easy for them to switch a few ads in and out between each game. |

Most commonly 177. Although at least one list him at 6’4”. When he was first signed, I think he was listed around 6’2” and 160. He must have still been growing. The bubble could be great for adding muscle and training.

How can you tell? Its pretty common in soccer games recently to put virtual advertising on the boards.
Soon, these ads will not just be localized but also individualized and clickable, drawn from cookies on your streaming device. |

With the first game going into overtime, it put a little pressure on our turnover between games. I think we had less than an hour from the end of the first game to warmup for the second game, the crew changed out a lot of the dasher ads on the boards, benches and cleaning staff sanitized the player and penalty benches. The timing made me a little nervous, but it all happened just as we planned it out.
This reads to me that it's a manual effort.
Regardless, it's interesting that they are tailored to each specific game. |

What kind of psychopath would a) click on an ad, and b) click on an ad during a game? lol |

Hayes has offered a lot of things we were missing prior to him signing here but I’m not gonna overrate him. He’s not a stud or star but he’s a nice player. If you compared him to past two way centers in a Flyers uniform like Primeau, Richards, Handzus or Couturier, he’d be the worst one by a mile. |
