My happy question was rhetorical. Wasn’t directed at you.

As I said yesterday, the Canucks are going to out score their flaws. If not then Minny has a really good chance of winning this five game series.

I know

I just re-watched the highlights from last night. Van created so many turnovers in the first 30 mins. Petey to Tanev in the slot one timer early in the game almost scored. Then Boeser to Horvat in tight tip just missed. Toffili hit the outside of the post late in the first. Boeser had a clean breakaway early in the 2nd. Pearson tipped a Petey shot just wide. Then the jets popped those two at the end of the second. 3rd period Horvat had 2 breakaways!!! And the fore-check was still strong, that's what led to the Roussel goal, Gaudette was flying. Like i said it could've been a very different game, I don't think they looked sloppy or uninspired at all. Cant wait for the real thing Sunday. I aint scared of the Wild.

Well that was the problem yesterday the goalie was stopping grade A chances by an inch here and there and that is the way it went down. The Canucks have some sort of mental block with this Jets team can't seem to beat them out playing them and all.

Its okay the loss was good to make changes. They need more speed and power on more lines. The fourth line was totally inept and against a Wild team that make up serves no purpose. You could laugh at line combos but in the playoffs your bottom six can make the difference.

Though a little less rust and more timing and I see those grade A chances BB , Petey, TT, Bo and JTM had going in. WE can say the sky is falling or like the process and progress big picture looks good.

Yeah exactly my point too. Seems lazy comments glancing at the score and not seeing what transpired in the game could have been easily a Canuck romp. But I'd still like to see changes. Green should go for it and start OJ with Stech. Put in JV with Beagle and ZacMac. Power, Speed and toughness better recipe to attack the Wild they will be roughing it up it seems.

Lazy comment assuming posters didn't watch the game. Some people may not have seen it the same way as others did. That's the great thing about a public forum, different perspectives.

Didn’t get to watch the game, men’s league at the golf course, but saw the highlights, created lots of chances, although they’ve got a bit of rust to shake off. They’ll be fine

OJ looked pretty good last night - it was nice seeing him fit in seamlessly, kid didnt look nervous at all given the circumstances. I don't any reason why he shouldnt start instead of Fanta. But maybe separating him and Stech. Edler Stecher, QH Tanev, OJ Myers.
We only need one of Beagle or Sutter. Bring in JV instead of one of them. It'd be cool to see Beagle, JV, ZacMac/Motte??

That would be great if Green sees it that way too. Lots of speculation by the panels after the game on who may slot in. If this is a learning experience and taking the next step for the youth then play the young guys who should be with the team next season and beyond.

NO need for Sutter/Motte/LE at this point. Maybe later in the playoffs with a match up that has more offense then the Wild. Agree Fatty should be insurance and let OJ show the future has arrived.

What’s that old saying... close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades.

I’m not scared of the Wild either and would be a bit shocked if the Canucks lose to them but as we’ve been talking about for the last month, the team that picks up the pace sooner will have a distinct advantage over talent. Very short “camp” and a very short series.

There is one positive I guess... we have home ice advantage.

Hi!

New blog is up now.

I'm not ruling out the possibility that Juolevi did enough to get into the lineup on Sunday. Travis was really generous with his praise after the game.
