He stayed and is back out there

Strome gets a lot of criticism for his defense but one aspect of defense he is pretty good at is causing turnovers in the o-zone which is what happened leading to Kane getting the puck and saucing it to Strome for the tap in.

Actually, I'll go back to caring about the draft after I hopefully see a lot more of what we watched tonight. I know, I know - it was just an exhibition game and the Hawks seemed to play with more intensity than the Blues did which we can't count on with EDM - but it was great to see the boys out there playing well.

It looks like we have another option for PP zone entry to go along with Kane - Dach is pretty good at bringing it in and either stick handling or powering through. He had a very strong game tonight even providing some strong PK play.

I can't think of anyone who played poorly today. A good all around effort.

Just an observation. Obviously, it's best to go for the chance at #1. However, the Hawks looked like the old hawks. PK was solid. 2 Strong lines. Dach, Kubs looked great.

If they keep this play up, I think they have a chance to come out of the West. The east is much tougher this year. West is pretty weak. Blues or Vegas should come out of the West, but today's game has me thinking otherwise...


And no the Avs are pretenders.

This was a great night. Life was weird for a long time and still is. Whether you know me as Cupbearer, Hardhawkhockey or in person. I decided for a long time not to get involved in some of the stuff here. I'm really glad to see a lot of people I knew or have met. Go Hawks! Even if it is one and done there are upsides. Wiz Elbows Ogie and many others have a great weird season!!!
