Was watching the season recap on SN, and the one stat of the pitifully small set they showed was Hits...
44-35 for the Leafs.
The narrative doesn't really fit the facts. Granted I can't be bothered to check out the added physicality the guys coming back from injury might have.

nobody wants to get injured during an exhibition game, most guys took it as a intense workout, nothing more. This will be different come this weekend, I expect some games to be very physical from the get go, best of 3 leaves no time to set things up, teams will have to come out hard, even more the underdogs like Columbus, they will want to slow down the greatest offensive team ever built
