This sounds real good in theory. I just hope they use good directors who don't go crazy with their new toys.

I actually think the new camera angles will be much more suited towards replays and highlights between periods. Let the tried and true angles stay during the broadcast. We all know what we are looking for, our viewing habits are trained from years of watching. I believe its why we seem to be able to follow a game way better than non hockey watchers who complain incessantly about not seeing the puck and cant follow the action.

Thanks for sharing. I recently lost my dad. At the family gathering we were sharing memories and I shared one from my school days. I was never picked on but was occasionally very short tempered with a bully. One such day, I was being talked too very loudly during class by one obnoxious guy. With no premeditated, I sent a right hook and split his lip. With his loud mouth, everyone knew what happened is the next five minutes or less including my dad. Yet he never said anything to me about it, pretending it never happened, and there was no punishment.

My family joked that Dad secretly wished he could deck him so that’s why he was silent. Not long after, that same kid-from-school’s Aunt walks in with a big bowl of soup for the family. Awkward moments of introduction and I was eyed up by the Aunt. When she left, my siblings insisted that soup was for me and me alone...a little something extra in the bowl just for me. Be sure your sins will find you out.

For round-robin, it's regular season rules: 3-on-3 for 5 mins, followed by a shootout.

For best-of-five play-ins, it's normal playoff rules: 5-on-5, play til there's a winner.

If there's a multi-OT game, the start time of the next game will have to be adjusted accordingly.

So the Phillies cancelled their weekend games due to COVID in the clubhouse. That leaves them 56 days to play 57 games. Time to introduce the triple header?

Well, it surely shaped my outlook on life.
I played full contact hockey till I was 41. Studied martial arts. I'm now 6'2" and 225. Havent been picked on in 50 years. At least not for long. I have an intense dislike for bullies. At the end of the day that's what racists are. Just ignorant bullies. Been fighting bullies my whole life. First for me, then for other people.

Sometimes things are said along the lines of wishing something awful or hard didn’t happen that way, but it’s so true as you say that those experiences shape a person. I never had the opportunity to play hockey. I’m sure it would have been a very good thing for a kid like me. I have my own unique outlook instead of those things.

So the big bad Bruins not looking so fierce as of yet....this could be good news for the Flyers round robin game.

If you actually thought about what a conservative is maybe you would not be so snarky.
The constitution of this country was written with the intention wrongs would be righted.
Conservatives for the most point want the law for the people and the federal and state governments to be adhered to.
Following that logic slavery, voting rights, citizenship etc were addressed.
That’s all conservatives are asking. If there is a injustice pass an amendment to the constitution.
The fact is our politicians today don’t give a poop and most are in it for themselves.
Let’s face it governance is a big business.
Why would any sane person give those who who could or would enforce by force more power?

Agreed, but it doesn't matter.. the Flyers fear no team.. if they get back to playing like they were just before the shutdown, they'll be just fine... Vigneault has done an awesome job preparing them to this point, I'm sure he'll have them ready.. He probably wants that ring as much as the players...

Yeah...it’s not necessary but it’s also still a positive. Seems to me that the Flyers are facing the opponents in order of playoff readiness: Bruins, Capitals then the Lightning. Not so ready to fully ready...perfect for maximizing points and building toward playoffs.

I don’t think they care about this game at all. Would you if you were them? I like our chances against the bruins. Also hope they or someone knocks Tampa out. That is the team I think we match up the worse against.

Yes I would; looking sloppy and not playing well does not seem the best way to get ready for real games. It’s one thing to avoid physicality and risk that could result in unfortunate injury, and quite another to just be aimlessly “practicing” in an exhibition game. I couldn’t continue watching it...maybe they came alive and connected something at the end idk.

Honestly I love that a lot of the top players on the Flyers remain underrated. Coots is gaining some attention these past couple seasons but still IMO remains consistently slept on. I feel like he was the best forward skater for the Flyers this season. The fact that Giroux is still overlooked is a bit comical as his stats show he's been an elite NHL player for quite some time. Provorov with the perfect answer when asked about him not making the NHL's top 20 defenseman list.

The Flyers PK against the Pens X-game was a work of art.

If I was a team with a lot of vertran players and just came off a season where I went to Game 7 of the SCF, I wouldn't dream of going more than half-tilt in an exhibition tune up right before the playoffs start.

Think AV needs to put a heavy team out there against Boston and Washington for sure. Those two teams are physical. Saw Wash just push the Canes around.
