If baseball, a sport where players stand damn far apart, can't get a grip on this, how in the world does the NFL expect it to work out?

it's the travel and all the different people the clubs come into contact with that causes the problem.

A bubble can work, but having teams flying all across the country, staying in various hotels and meeting different people constantly was never going to.

yeah and as someone who really only cares about hockey, the setback stories from other sports really make me doubtful that we will see a regular NHL season starting in December.

Yeah I don't think we're going to see sports going forward normally until there's a readily available vaccine.

The risk is too high.

Does flying really have that much of an impact? Get on a team plane, fly to location to play the game, get on the plane to fly home. If everyone on the plane is COVID free, should be no issues.

The real problem is the constant contact with different parties (both within the sport and out). Unfortunately, a sport like football has so many players, it's unrealistic to think that all are going to abide by "quarantine-lite" practices.

Baseball, so far has one hiccup. The ripple effect needs to be contained and hopefully they can learn from the mistake. Might be wishful thinking though.

i just mean flying in the sense that they're travelling to different cities and meeting various different people, that's all.

The Philadelphia Phillies have canceled workouts today after a coach and clubhouse attendant tested positive for coronavirus. Activities are shut down “until further notice,” according to the team.

Don't see it happening unless it's a similar format with the hubs and no fans. Don't think the owners will go for that, much less the players.
