I like number 3 but without a 2C to anchor a 2nd line Jacks line gets checked into the ground every road game without last change. 2C has to be our priority and I dont think you can expect Cozins to anchor your 2nd line as a rookie!

I'm going to start a Jets blog. The team looked good beating the Canucks. The team looks big and tough. This team is my favourite for the cup. How do I get paid for doing this??

1) Trade Marcus Johannson and a 1st rounder to Boston for Krejci, de Brusk and a 3rd rounder. Since de Brusk's contract is up for a raise, this will give Boston over $5 million in salary relief to sign Krug. They also get a decent middle-6 forward and a very good 1st round pick. Buffalo receives an impact 23 year old with upside and team control. They also get one year (at least) from a solid, 2-way centre with a winning pedigree in Krejci (which Buffalo desperately needs).

2) Trade Ristolainen and Kahun to Winnipeg for Ehlers and Poolman. This is a fairly even salary swap once Kahun is signed. The Jets get a much needed D-man with term and a middle-6 forward with team control in Kahun. The Sabres get a potential 1st line winger who's singed for term to a reasonable contract. Poolman is essentially a salary and roster spot addition.

3) Trade Hutton, Lazar, and Boston's 3rd rounder to Arizona for Grabner and Raanta. Arizona is against the cap next year. They get about $3.5 million in relief, a prospect and a replacement 3rd round pick (since they don't have one this year). Buffalo solidifies their goaltending tandem and gets a speedy versatile winger.

Out: Johansson, Ristolainen, Kahun, Hutton, Lazar, 1st rounder, $8.5 million in salary.

In: Krejci, de Brusk, Ehlers, Poolman, Grabner, Raanta

It's all about de Brusk and Ehlers long term, plus Raanta and a culture change next year.
