Just read an article on the Athletic wirtten by Jack Han who was in the Leafs organization from 2017 to a few months ago. He was a Marlies assistant coach working on video analysis.
He mentions in the article that he believes the Leafs are going to target Jones, as his gap control in the NZ is poor, and he depends on his size / reach to break plays up down low instead. So he is a weak point on the D to gain entry to the zone.
Conversely I would argue Rielly has poor gap control in NZ as well, so.... - vermie22

So much better than "Nylander thinks that the Leafs will have to work hard to beat the Blue Jackets. They're a good team, and they've come here to win!"
Blah blah blah.
OK, Wedgie's rant is over.
For now. |

I've completely stayed out of all the politics talk because I (frank)ing hate it and it doesn't belong here. But I felt that needed to be responded to. |

Firstly, the Leafs are going to need to grind out some wins against a team that plays hard. The Leafs need to dig deep and impose their will on a Columbus team that's coached by a jack adams and stanley cup winning coach and does the little things. Sure, they might not have elite superstar forwards but their intangibles are undeniable (whatever they are, can't quite say, they're intangible.
/sports writing over. |

yes - but the parties weren't that far off policy wise in the 90's.
democrats veered hard left over the last 20 years. - Tumbleweed
1984...mondale won only his home state.
DNC created super delegates to rig their primaries so that only a candidate who was bought and paid for by the rich elite could become democratic nominee.
Clinton is the poster boy of bought and paid for politicians...NAFTA, The Communications Act, bombing of iraq, serbia, and sudan,
de-unionization of labor...i could keep going.
Added bonus: a liar, a cheater, and a pedophile. |

Good luck extraditing him. By the way, the learned Prof Dershowitz, Trump’s constitutional lawyer also wrote an op ed suggesting the age of consent be lowered to 14.
I guess he was interested in (frank)ing more than the country

i don't really care that the democrats rig their system.
it's a travesty that they use public funds to put on their farce of a primary election.
i don't care for clinton the person. but i can't deny that he was the last president that effectively worked with another branch of government that was controlled by the opposition. and not just 1, but 2.
maybe there is reason he had a great economy during his time. he had to implement republican initiatives |

Is it possible the Republican Congress has changed since then? Obama made significant (and unfortunate) concessions in his health care proposals thinking that the Republicans in Congress had some readiness to work together. They had none. |

That's how it works. And because Leafs only beat Montreal in an exhibition it does not matter.
