The experts are wack and only look at the numbers and stats. I can tell you living in Edmonton, I don't know anyone that thinks this will be a cakewalk. I am rather nervous tbh. Lots of underrated weapons on the Hawks.

Agree with this 100%. I think the Oiler's top tier is better than the hawks. The hawks do have 3 forwards lines that can score (If Debrincat gets out of his funk), and our four line can do damage as well. I think this series will be far closer than most in the media seem to think.

That being said, I could also see the hawks getting swept out in 3 games. It really depends on the hawks can limit McJesus and Draisaitl.

Looks like the NHL Center Ice package will be reactivated (on DirecTV for the 1st round anyway). Granted most of the games will be shown nationally in the U.S on NBC, NBC Sports Network and USA network, but the games on Center Ice afford the opportunity to select either team's broadcast crew.

Here's a link to DirecTV's schedule. Note the national NBC games, e.g. today's Hawks-Oilers contest are not listed.

It's game day, I never thought I would say that. If they play like they did against the Blues, we should be in a great & competitive spot. If Crow is locked in, I believe we got this. Personally, besides the vets, I'm looking at Kubalik & Dach. I think for their first taste of playoffs, they will standout amongst the rest. Of course I want Adb to perform at a top level & Strome, for their first taste as well, but I'm just guessing at who will be stars. Come on JC, I'm rooting for you.

I am. Drove up to Portland yesterday and got in about 8pm last night. Thought I'd check the board while I was having a glass of bourbon before bed.

About to go grab some breakfast and coffee. Not sure if I'll be able to check out the game but Go Hawks!!!

Dach is basically playing in his home town as Fort Saskatchewan is a bedroom community suburb of Edmonton. I expect him to be extra motivated.

I love Portland. One of my favorite layovers. Great little Chowder Hut right down by the docks.

The four horsemen (sic, the four Stanley Cuo veterans) shall lead them to victory!

Well the team has practiced previously at the vaunted Irish campus so they can identify with the legendary four horsemen

The Blackhawks foursome will. be legends in their lifetime. Thinking back i bet that wiz recalls their Entry Draft scouting reports. A decade since their first of three Cup runs....the Blackhawks foursome can add to their legacy if they can lead the their team through a tough playoff qualifier.

I'll always pull for the Hawks to win, but I would be ok with them losing on 2 conditions.

1) They play a hard, competitive series that goes 5 games.

2) The young guns play well, and get valuable experience.

I assume you are talking about Toews, Kane, Keith and Seabrook. If so, it's 3 horsemen because Seabs didn't make the trip.

just thought came to mind.

What team has an extra goaltender. More promising than our guus. If you are sour on Subban and view our other prospects as NHL ceiling back up material.

The Penguins would love a cheap promising dman. Beaudin. Would not need to be protected. If we like their guy Jary enough! We protect only one goaltender. Does that entitle us to one more protected skater? If so, then protect Carlsson.

BTW: is Jary a small size goaltender. Always prefer larger size guys tending net for obvious reason. And can Jary handle the puck ok

OK, back to playoff topic.

:"Crab _by" in Portland if no televised Blackhawks or you are busy!

Here is an unsolicited tip if you want to try it out

I recently came across information from a health food store guru. Ceylon cinnamon very healthy in your coffee. One capsule easily twist open and deposit in hot coffee. Trying out avoid sugar and cream in coffee. This Ceylon brand is reportedly the only cinnamon that you can have large amount of and it is ok. I put just a dash of vanilla creamer with it...delicious. A bottle from non spice section (look in the Osco area/in vitamin section) from Jewel Osco is about $20

Without doing the research, off the top of my head I would say many teams have a better #2 goalie than the Hawks do, whether you consider Subban or Delia or Lankanen. None of those guys have established themselves in the NHL and none of them would be considered young goalies. Just look at the team the Hawks will play today - I would take either Oilers goalie over our backup guys.

Crab should be available in Portland Maine. His posts have mentioned looking forward to seafood in Portland.
So if he says he has no time to catch the game, he need not be too crab - y. Catch that.

And since he happened to mention he was having coffee, I just thought I would toss in .a new tasteful discovery i came accross: how having coffer can actually be healthy with Cylon in it. You being a cookout or in general a food connoisseur. You find the information worthwhile as a news item and possibly incorporate in your coffee.
