Predators look terrible right now. - rmdevil313
If you're getting massively out shot by the Coyotes you're certainly playing poorly. |

Is that the NJ devils on the ice? You cannnnot convince me that Lav isnt a better playoff coach than Hynes. You need Lav's intensity.. And experience. The Preds come out looking stupid in the 1st. They look like the Devils. |

Nick Schmaltz, Arizona's point leader this season, is not playing today - vlongo4419
It wont make a difference. One team is ready to play and the other is a lost Hynes squad. |

Well the yotes are just a better team in general. Which is why ive been saying for the past month to just enjoy the games and not even worry about any other series, because its irrelevant if the Yotes win. Which my prediction was yotes in 5. Better special teams and goaltending win out in a playoff series, and both of those aspects favor the Yotes |

I find the Yotes to be arguably the worst team in the play in. Their roster does not impress at all. Nashville looks hungover. |

Well lets say we get both the AZ and VAN pick in the 16-20 range, would you want to try to trade up using both of those picks to try to get back into the top 11 range? Or is that too much to give up? |

I think the Yotes are the 4th worst team in the play-in. I have the Habs, Panthers and Preds worse than them |

Yotes have a decent defense core and was carried by goaltending. Their forward group just cannot score goals at all. |

Yep people seem to forget how good the Yotes were just because of where they finished at the pause. Obviously it was 4 months ago and it doesnt mean much now because of the break but they were atop their division in December and into January when they acquired Hall. They only started to fall because both of their goalies got hurt, and especially Keumper missed a ton of time. He would've been a Vezina finalist if he didnt get hurt. Their D and goaltending is very good |

Yotes and Islanders are pretty much the same team. Well coached and getting really good goaltending. The big question is if they can come back in games in which they go down a couple goals since they both have one scoring line.
I definitely think a team like the Panthers are the worst team in the play-in round because they have bad goaltending, bad defense, and only one good line of forwards. They have almost nothing going for them. |

Strong yes. 16 and 17..(best case scenario) are a big dip away from 10 or 11. I doubt a team would do that. |

They look lost and confused. They literally look like the Devils. Guys skating into each other, terrible communication and playmaking, passive.. Stupid.
Of course its after 4 months of no hockey.. but. so? Same for everyone else. Oh look another penalty. |

Hynes is just not a good coach. Nashville has some strong offensive pieces but no elite talent to lean on. How is this team going to score with this "system". |

Their backups were still well above league average in his place. Basically if their goalies don't turn in a hall of fame performance they don't win. And I could be wrong but I don't see Keumper as the second coming of Hasek. Definitely could steal a series but the Yotes aren't making the finals. To put it in perspective the Yotes only had 6 more points than us with an extra game and playing in the easiest vs toughest division in the league, and we were awful. |

Why in all the heck would you hire Hynes as your coach to get your team to the next level..to lead your team to amd through the playoffs?? Based on what success???? Hes the last guy I'm signing if I was Nashville. Beyond the beyond. |

You would think this is an AHL squad with an AHL All-Star in Forsberg and an NHL dman in Josi. Thats what my eyes see. |

A lot of players who played for him speak highly of him, he was highly regarded in the lower leagues, and let's not pretend like we ever had much to work with. |

Overall stat-wise their backups were above league average, sure, but thats a product of good team defense. They gave up a lot of sloppy/bad goals. From Kuemper to anybody else their quality start % dropped off ~20%. Thats huge. To put it into perspective, look at us. Knowing how bad our goaltending was from anybody besides Blackwood, our quality start % dropped off ~23% from Blackwood to anybody else. |

Arizona 82 game pace with Vezina quality goaltending is 96 points, or a bottom tier playoff team and obviously Keumper can't play every game. Their team defensive and attacking stats are average at best, they were never very good. |
