Just like the NHL isnt a developmental League for players, the same can be said for coaches who speak French just for the sake of their language. Just like you draft the best player available, you hire the best coach and staff available. It’s nice to know that the Habs drafting and hiring are streamlined. This team won’t win (frank) all if politics trumps winning. You won’t see another Habs cup in your lifetime old man. Henjoy your French quota though.

They don’t even give anyone else a chance, not even an option. There’s a big difference there when you don’t even give yourself the chance to be competitive.

oh I agree on that. many rookie would have been very good choices (like AV ad CJ were). they wanted guys with NHL experience, and you know...... french coaches with experience.... well.... they are very rare those who started somewhere else than in Mtl... you pretty much made my case there. tks again.
