All I know is I was completely deflated when I found Shesty was hurt. I imagine the team felt some of that. Then he gives up a softee immediately after they hit the ice, and boom the tone is set. You lose your best team player on the same play in Fast. These are factors

Panarin, Ziba, Kreider, Buch aren’t in their infancy, they showed zip through two games, Hats off to the Canes, they’ve been a real team

We weren’t in a playoff spot and we got shown why, credit goes to a great regular season for Panarin and Ziba, we aren’t guaranteed a “we’re gonna be great”, this is where you kinda show a glimpse, hopefully Hank and Staal retire to free up money to resign sone of these guys like Deangelo but we aren’t any closer than other teams rebuilding, that’s the truth
