Unfortunately what's happened has happened, going into this no matter who was in net I expected more than what I've seen, Carolina is a good team and they did go to the Conference finals last year but we could be better all around including Hank more so in game 2

Think about it tho..At the last minute Shesty isn’t playing...the first shift they lose their best defensive forward and give up a goal. They are immediately shell shocked. All that after not hitting the ice for 4 months. To boot, 75% of the team playing in its first playoff series. And they still had a chance to win game one, or to tie it at least.

Honestly I think it's a little bit of both. Yes, they do seem to play with more confidence in front of Shesty so maybe they would have played better. But they have done NOTHING offensively for 2 games. 0-7 on the power play in the first game and only a 2-man advantage goal today. No cycle, no forecheck, passes are off, it's just everything.

I don't think Shesty playing would have made a difference. They've clearly been dominated in every facet of the game. This is the third game in a row too, I thought they looked awful against the Islanders too.

It’s Hanks fault in that the team doesn’t respond well when he plays, because he’s not a good goalie anymore and the players are keen to this fact it’s not an excuse it’s just how it is. He makes the D nervous. They can’t handle the puck. Fox and Deangelo have been awful. Shesty brings a dynamic that is crucial in today’s NHL, he’s like a 3rd Dman. You are saying this team plays like poop because they have a future HOF in net, although not at the top of his game but not playing badly, but they dont trust him. Yet they will have more trust in someone who has played a total of 12 games with them?? Shesty is the future no doubt, but the TEAM is playing terrible not because of Hank but because teams go thru slumps, this is the time the Rangers are slumping. They were the hottest team since January. Then the pandemic happened. The team came back down to earth. The series is close to being over but who knows.

I’m being fair in this assessment, because that save had to be made in that spot by that goalie. And it didn’t happen. Deflated and game over. These are kids, realize that. Not to interject friend....but I think we watched different hockey games. The canes absolutely worked the Rangers after the 1st period...it’s a team game. The Canes probably could’ve tacked on a few more this series if it wasn’t for some great saves by the King.

And Hank was on his knees because it was on a tape to tape pass across the ice with Fast seeing birdies whirling around his head. That is the posture every goalie in the game would be in.
