How’s things Bone?
- Wildschwein

Doing damn well Prepping to move back to Holland later in August and otherwise just spending the days enjoying hockey, learning new things, brushing up on my guitar, and just made my first slow-cooker brisket back on Friday!

How about you, Schweiner? Done with your shift in the tower (iirc)?

Man, they're calling that Ennis goal unassisted after Yamo's big effort? Oof.

Glad to hear it Bone. Is Dutch a difficult language to pick up?

Still at the tower. Should be here till late September. Just in time to start planning my next fantasy draft.

It seems like it is, but I must admit I'm not doing much to learn it! As my plan isn't to live there long term and my entire university operates in English, I'm comfortable staying with the basics. If I'm honest, it's an ugly language

What does that job of your entail?

I don't disagree but then you'd have the precedent set for changing a call to another one and I don't know that they want to open that can of worms.

You’re planning on staying in Holland? Is the language uglier than my beloved Deutsch?

My job? Well I fly out to a remote high elevation location in late April, and stay till mid/late September. Solo. I climb a 100ft steel tower and stay up an average of 10 hours a day. If I see a forest fire, I report it’s location.

Complicated yet simple.

Enschede. It's a pleasant town of around 100,000 next to the German border. What kind of program?

Have you ever decided to light a fire so you could have something to do?

Oh poop nice, how is it there?

It's a program where you work for a year abroad, not sure of the name, but it's for ages 18-35

I should just stay in this post, they've scored twice now lmao

No, I said I wasn't

And absolutely. Disgusting. It's called Swamp German for a reason.

Sounds pretty chill. Completely alone or is there any social interaction? What kind of training was needed? Sounds like it requires a fair deal of mental stability, to say the least.

Pleasant is the best way I can describe it. A lot of greenery around the parts of the city I frequent, the people are largely accommodating and it's not too difficult a place to navigate.
