I was looking forward to him being a solid 4th like guy...... but nope he does suck. Always behind the play. Let’s hope that era is over. Also hope that was one of McDs players that he meddled his way into getting. - bhawks2241
He was a decent player a few years ago but he has been bad for at least 2 seasons before coming over. he also had the ability to make Carpenter completely useless for some reason. |

They are in the role they should be in. Kampf is a pain in the ass to play against. Exactly what you want from your 4th line. |

Hello AEL
I have seen a few comments about whom might replace Caggiula in the line up tonight. While Hagel and Sikura appear likely - and i agree with Tyler that Sikura gets the nod - nonetheless i found wiz comment to not overlook Entwhistle quite interesting
Here's my guess as to what wiz is thinking: Entehistle has a knack for winning board battles. You can point to his being a money player in clutch moments; however, this is not likely swaying Bowman/Colliton opinion as Entwhistle is not the #1 line scoring type of player
So....
I recall at one point I had noticed Entwhistle listed at 175 pds. Comments on him included that he could or would fill out. OK, so how is he winning a lot of board battle?. Some technique or really quick or have a reach. AEL_FOX Could you tell us what you know about Entwhistle? Thanks muchos Gracia in advance. - jhawk59
I wouldn't pay attention too much on Entwistle's weight for his tall height. He will naturally mature and fill out. Most importantly, though, he's very strong and can play physical if the game demands it.
In his rookie pro season in Rockford, he acquitted himself well in the hard hitting AHL. Many AHL vets tried to push him around but he not only held his own but often came out on top either putting opponents in their place or winning the puck.
As for his value to the team, he won't be called upon if the team needs the best offensive players on the ice to get a GTG. Instead, he will be instrumental in holding leads and in key defensive situations. |

No empirical evidence here, but my eyes see that Keith is very good at walking the line and holding the puck in - not very good at getting shots thru to the net.
He’s probably good at being the PP quarterback if you don’t look for him to be the shooter - keep the puck, move it around, make the pass (or the shot pass).... - StLBravesFan
That's a fair description of Keith on the PP (some others said the same thing in the prior blog). He brings value and is effective if he sticks to what he is excellent at.
Getting shots through isn't one of them. Put a shooter on the opposite point with him. If Boqvist is on one unit, try Carlsson on the other unit with Keith. |

While waiting to see whom draws Colliton's favor as Caggiula's replacement, just wondering how far the defense - mind set teams advance. The two teams of this ilk whom I would detest to match up against, is the NYI & Columbus.
I don't give Dallas much chance to move along although they did give St Louis a hard battle last time. And Montreal it has a lot to do with Price. The Canadiens cannot be expected to oust a superior team each round, so I dismiss them and go with the well coached Islanders and Blue Jackets. Both teams are darkhorses ' anyone concur |

Not a fan of Spittin Chiclets but Mark Lazerus tweeted this from their latest podcast:
"Interesting to hear Duncan Keith talk about how the Erik Gustafsson trade allowed him to regain some of the minutes and offensive responsibilities, which he wasn't thrilled about ceding in the first place." |

It would interesting to see the exact quote(s) Laz is using to form that conclusion. |

I think they’ll just go with one less forward and an extra d-man. |

Looks like Quenneville is subbing in for Caggiula? If Colliton wants a winger that plays a heavy style, not a bad choice.
Then again, Quenneville was pretty inconsequential during his cup of coffee this past regular season.
Would still prefer Sikura or Hagel. |

Actually, Sikura and Quenneville are both skating in pre-game. So is Carlsson. |

Maybe it means lots of Kane minutes. Is Q a good PK guy? |

This is not a bad idea so insert Carlsson.
I like what Hagel or Sikura can bring, so adding a forward or Carlsson is a tough choice. If Seeler is in, I' m upset. Hey Darth, do you have a darkhorse to go far in the playoffs? NYI, Columbus and btw how far you think Vegas goes? |

Hopefully that's the case for Kane.
Quenneville does play PK in Rockford but he shouldn't necessarily be relied up to do the same for the Hawks in the post season. |

How’s that gonna happen inside a bubble? Anyone that wants to enter the bubble needs to test positive before they can enter. - SimpleJack
It’s a bubble - not a hermetically sealed dome.
Shiit happens.
I’m not saying that virus will enter the communities - just that somehow it could - and then spread.
So far, so good - hope it stays that way. But no guarantees.
Otherwise they wouldn’t have to test everyday or however often they are testing. |

The longer they are there, the more stir crazy the guys are likely to get and the more likely they will be to take risks. They are supposed to also have organized field trips to golf, etc. where they'll potentially be exposed to outside people. |

Something Vegas did. The guys who didn't play skated so that when any man went down (numerous reasons) the next man up could easily fit into the system. Not sure if that is JC's reason.
Q jr is in the lineup. |

Unlike the superbowl, no one has brought up the lack of sex question with regards to the bubble. |
