It reminds me.of the Bruins trading Sequin or the Oilers trading Hall for a pile of twats

I've been trying to think of a team that traded someone comparable to Marners age and ability... And one that worked out well. I haven't thought of one yet.

Or Tampa trading Drouin or the Jackets trading Johansen.

He sucked in 2018.

Lead the team in goals and points in 2017 and 2019, and was the best Leaf (not named Andersen) last night.

If you are going to omit Matthews worst playoffs, You should do the same with Marner.

If you are going to omit Marner's best playoffs, you should do the same for Matthews.

Their playoff performances have been pretty similar throughout the years.

If we trade Marner were trading the best player in that trade. Plain and simple.

Ice looks like franking slush.

I can't understand how the Toronto ice crew isn't turning the AC to 11, to give the Leafs an advantage over the Jackets

I still can't believe people harp on the Leafs bad trades. There have been WAY worse trades made by other teams. Those two were horrible.

Drouin was never on marners level..I'll give you the chance to use stats..proceed to compare marner to Drouin. And sergachev is not the answer to our problems. I would never trade marner for sergachev, you dolt. (frank)s wrong with you mate.

Johansson trade was more the expection than the rule. Not many teams have the dmen Nashville had at the time to make that trade.

Iginla for Niewendyk?

Worked well for both sides.

With these trade ideas looks like they want to create a reason to harp

How freaking good does that Johansen trade look for Columbus.

But for some reason you are no longer doing an analysis based on points.

Probably because you would come to the same conclusions you did with Marner if you applied the same standard to Matthews.

The other GM's must have wet themselves when they saw his name come up on call display.

So good, but at the time Nashville was pinched with Weber and Josi etc.

When you are down by a goal in a playoff game and you fail to register a shot on net in the final 6 minutes...

Yeah, that is not trying or caring. That is pathetic. Columbus is, at best, a borderline playoff team. They weren't shut down by the Lightning, the Blues or the Bruins or the 1970's Habs.

There is no "Magic" to Columbus' system. They work hard and win puck battles. They are the anti-Leafs.

So better pep talk from Torts? Things aren’t working after a 4 month layoff and you can tell that they’re not trying?

They should’ve traded Ellis instead of the young, highly talented player they drafted 4th overall a few years earlier.

wait...

Actually, yes; or at least not hard enough.

So can you. I pointed it out during the game. There was a huge difference watching the two teams battle last night. The compete level is not even close.

A pep talk by Torts means nothing if the team won't listen and buy in.

Hull for Ramage and Wamsley - Flames won cup .. But Hull scored about a trillion goals for the Blues... Nah that one sucked also.

2019.
6 pts, 7 games, -3

That is what a 70 pt. pace, against the Bruins second line. Can you even name who is pn their second line?

Is that production worthy of the most player-friendly contract in the league?
