For YEARS of mismanagement, the Canucks have been fortunate in their history believe it or not.

Hextall would be a nice replacement for Benning

When Hischier rockets up the list & Philly picks a dud I can live with Petey. Dallas & Colorado also say ty lol

When Habs take KK & the Yotes Hayton & Wings take Zadina I can live with Hughes.

Who needs a 1oa anyways 😂

- Nighthawk

Interesting enough, the Canucks are the longest-serving NHL team to never have the top pick in the draft.

We had the first overall in 1999 but traded it away...never having it isn’t one of our issues, mismanagement is.

You saying you wouldn’t have preferred Dahlin, even a little? I want the team to win every year, and find a Boeser/Barzal late in the first round and a Webber in the second

Marky was part of it not to lay sole blame which is comical that you keep harping on that. But ignoring facts just to stick to narratives is a farce. By going down by 1 early on a stoppable point shot played to the Wild shut down script. The Canucks then needed PP's to score didn't get them. That's the facts. Spin all you want but as said plenty of times things could have broken different.

So here's hoping Marky is sharp early and the Canucks come out hard and get some PP time to get the 1st goal.

- NuckUp

Narrative.

When they win 4-1 I hope they get 4 even strength goals, go 0-8 on the PP or something.

I played golf up at Bear Mountain today with a former Tampa Bay Lightning scout, a good friend, some good stories. I didn’t know Stamkos signed his rookie contract up at Bear Mountain...and...I didn’t know skinny (Len Barrie) called Lawton, the TB GM, and said if Stamkos doesn’t play 19 minutes tonight Melrose is fired. He was playing 11 minutes a night.

Melrose was warned by Lawton, he played him 11 minutes and Lawton fired him

I knew the Melrose story. I'm pretty sure it was actually being reported by the media at the time.

Cool story about Bear Mountain though.

I really think one line of scoring, some PP opportunities is all we need.
This is the Wild, not the fricking CCCP.

- dbot

Then I guess you want 3 defensive lines to defend against the Wild D eh

Here's to some scoring wherever it comes from just get the first goal Canucks.

Going to the bunker on this one no comments or online distractions lol plenty of time for that after the fall out tmr.

Is he hurt or something? I know he didn't play well but the bench seems harsh.

I’d like a Mario Lemieux but what is not in our control I don’t worry about it.

I’m waiting to see how we are in a year or 2 when contracts expire & how the prospects do.

Yes mine gems later in the draft wherever we pick. Draft well & no need to trade top picks away.

Wow, that's pretty big if it's true. Could also be why he played like poop. I can't remember, did he take a bad hit last game?
