My daughter sat down and randomly started cheering for the Flames. Such poor parenting.

Is it because of their pretty, red blouses?

Easy now, no need to overreact.

She's been put up for adoption.

She's always had an interest in hockey for some reason without every really watching it. She's 6, sat down to watch it with me and started cheering for the fires.

I fully agree about keeping them accountable. I just don't think after game 1 in a best of 5 after a 4 month break with a fairly young team is the correct time to do it.

To me it's the perfect time. They've been preaching it all mini camp. There's not a lot of runway to mess up this year. Some of them need to be taught or be reminded what's at stake when you're playing for the Cup.

Just curious, and not meant to slight your opinion at all, when would be a good time for you?

There’s no better time to overreact than the present.

For the record, I think going with experience over skill/drive/enthusiasm was a mistake, but it’s what I expected.

My daughter cheers against every team I cheer for. I grounded her for life last night for mocking the Canucks and predicting the Wild would win.

She didn't take the grounding seriously, and she's been lording the fact she was right about the game over me all day.....since we're talking about poor parenting.

She asserted dominance. You are the daughter now.

If I was TG, I would call them out in front of the team after the game. Talk to the media and say what he said to not cause drama surrounding the team. Make today a video session or learning session or whatever.

Then I'd talk to the players and make changes for game 2 to show that people who don't play at their level are getting sat. If nothing changes after game 2, then I'd call them out in the media.

I don't think taking advantage of a playoff teaching moment is overreacting. It's not like we've been rife with playoff lessons over the past few years. It would be different if there was at least one player who rose to the occasion and fought through.

Shitty, I knew something was up. The Canucks really need to win the next game, my Fatherhood depends on it.

I also think Green is going to have to make some adjustments in his own game.

Oh definitely. I think he could lose his job this summer if they get swept.

JB went out and got TT to help them make the playoffs and do some damage. If they don't even make the playoffs, JB is going to be in trouble and TG will probably bear the brunt of it.

This one doesn't eat any fish really. We had a huge feed of lobster and she wouldn't even try it.
