Bo is always at his best when he goes to the net with or without the puck. When he tries to play a finesse game it works against him.

I think he’ll bounce back with a simpler/better game tomorrow. I expect the team as a whole to be better on the forecheck and going to the net.

Minny smothered him, gotta give them credit

They did their homework. There was a point pretty early where Hughes did a button hook at their blueline and turned right into 2 Wild. Like they knew exactly where he was heading to buy time. It was like that all night for everybody. Running into walls, not through them.

Meh, he's doing what a lot of lesser players are doing this time of year. He didn't force the Wild into a defensive breakdown nor back them into taking a penalty or 2. None of our top 6 did. They all need to find another gear. Petey is part of that group.

For sure, but he showed some pulse, as did Brock, JT and Ferland. The rest looked like they were playing a game against the Coyotes in mid November. At least with EP, BB, JTM and Ferland the intensity was there even if their actual execution was sloppy.

Underrated team, if they didn’t have poop goaltending they’d get a little respect.

As much as I was high on him during that draft, he does look soft af in the playoffs. Today was one of the first playoff games where he looked like he cane to play. He took a run at Tkachuk too. I know he’s friends with Laine so maybe Laine getting slashed/cross checked out of game 2 and maybe more is what pissed Ehlers off

OK. I agree with this somewhat. It was sloppy and a few near misses.

I think you'll see JTM and hopefully other guys take a more direct route to the net next game.

There was a lot of messing around at the blue line after they entered the O-zone. That let the Wild set up their wall. I can't remember a single shift where I was wowed by our entry speed. We were much faster during the season.

Fully agree with this. Hopefully adjustments are made. Canucks are going to have to force the pace of the game to pick up, they won’t win a game filled with dump-and-chase and puck cycling against this team.

That’s why it’s frustrating to see 2 of the fastest forwards on the team in the press box.

You like JB to kick his tires & let Tanev walk?

Agreed. JV earned his time in the press box. Kid needs a sense of urgency. If he can't come out firing on all cylinders then he's a lost cause.

Koskinen looks so much better than what I saw of Mike Smith, plays deeper in the net and he’s way more still, lets the puck come to him. Looks big. Wonder how tall he is? **heads to google**

Edit: holy fug...he’s 6’7”

It certainly is weird watching it in the middle of the day when it's 30 degrees out. If i'm home i'll watch some of it for sure. What I won't do is change my plans to make sure i'm home to see it.

The kids want to spend more time camping so we're going to do it. No TV, no internet.

I went out all day yesterday and got skunked. Nobody was hooking up. Decided to stick around the house today and get things done while watching/discussing the game. No regrets.

It was slow today as well, everyone whining on the radio. We had one big hit by the trap shack and that was it.
