You didn't address what he said. What the poster mentioned as far as black on black violence in inner cities is far more of an issue that racism is for minorities and it's not even close. As well as other far more important issues such as education. He didn't stick his head in the sand, he named more important issues. Gang violence, drugs, shootings, murders galore and BLM is no where to be found. A little girl gets caught in the crossfire and BLM is no where to be found. - MJL
They're a consequence of oppression, plain and simple. Fight for the scraps.
And ya, calling something a problem of 250 years ago when people were still literally locked in chains years after that is burying your head in the sand. |

Black lives actually mattering, which of course any reasonable ethical person would agree and the BLM organization are not the same thing. Not by a long shot. I agree it's time to address a lot of things. However lets do something real instead of the political nonsense going on now. Minorities in need will never see a dime of the 250M the NFL threw at the issue. - MJL
I totally disagree.
Awareness is half the issue. I think you'll see the benefit far outweighs the cost in the long run. Equal opportunity. |

Out of curiosity. what did he say or do that was racist? - Maverick1818
Do you think a cavalier attitude of “slavery is in the past, no big deal” isn’t racist? Or not caring George Floyd was murdered by a white cop because “he was high” or because “he was a criminal”. His death is just fine? If you want the actual post I’ll give them to you but look no further than the last three pages.
Disagreed with him, then he brought up his race as a defense mechanism to slander and call me racist! Classic SSB - Richieattack18
Hey dummy! I am black, why wouldn’t I bring it up due to the topic at hand?
In fact the last time I brought up that I was racially mistreated, you flat out posted that I’m a lair and I’m lying as if we know each other personally.
For those who play EA Sports NHL and have played in a drop-in over the years are well aware of the creation of fictional black players in a racist manner with racists names and that time we last spoke, you went out of your way to down play it.
This isn’t my first rodeo with RichieAttack, might be yours. Laughing off black oppression and black brutality both pass and present, kinda of a questionable move by someone hasn’t out right said he wasn’t racist yet in his own defense.
Oh but I’m a snowflake for speaking up for any of this. |

If anyone thinks the NBA and NFL's decision to back BLM is about anything other than business, they're naive. - MJL
Business or not, it’s still being Advertised on their airwaves. NHL too, in case you missed Matt Dumba kneeling in a game he wasn’t even apart of. |

Hey dummy I’m Cuban. Therefore that means I must be oppressed right? Nah I’m completely free. If you tell yourself everyday that you’re oppressed you will have a hard time in life and only look to blame others for any inconvenience you have. By the way I have stated atleast a half dozen times already I’m not a racist, if you can go back and read which may be a tough task for you you would be able to read that. Probably won’t because it’s racist to go back and look at posts or whatever blah blah |

So address the real issues and do something that will actually make a difference in changing that oppression. Kneeling and rioting and looting and giving money to the minority and poverty institutions who would be out of business if oppression went away is not going to do anything. Neither is the BLM movement.

You can disagree all you want. We've thrown 20+ trillion dollars to combat poverty. Poverty is still a major issue. Awareness is not half the issue. It's a waste of time. Kneeling is a waste of time. Rich pro athletes could do far more. Everything going on now is nothing but window dressing.

BLM is doing great by funneling their money right to the party of slavery (Democrat’s) imagine if the over 1billion that they raised went to actually help better the lives of people that they are championing instead of political parties? BLM is just such a joke |

Sure. All of the people 5 years old and up out there aren't minds that are capable of learning new behaviour. Total waste of time to target a new generation with a new mindset. You don't seem to be throwing any solutions out there, just negativity towards change. |

I didn’t avoid anything. I never said I was oppressed and I’ll happily wait as you point out where I did.
To deny racism doesn't exist or media motivated is simply idiotic. I am a black man and I've had my fair share of white people (not all white people) come at me aggressive with with their racist views, simple because I was in their presence and simple because I look different. Some elders just let things slip because they’re old fashion and you can’t teach and old dog new tricks. Being called a Tribesman, aboriginals or a N*gger unprovoked within a span of 20 minutes because I'm black last February prior to Covid, that’s racist. With this said, being black has never held me back from my own person successes. We all have the ability no matter what color you are to make the right or wrong choices. You commit a crime you go to jail. You sell drugs you go to jail. You kill someone you go to jail, no matter what color you are. I think we're at a point that maybe we should check ourselves. We've had a black present. Black congressmen. Black chief of police here in Michigan. The list goes on. No matter what you look like, if you choose to dress like a business man, you're gonna come off a lot less intimidating as someone who chooses to dress like someone who prefers to wear a tank top to show off their tattoos. I'm not saying it's wrong to dress this way, I'm saying you're less likely to draw unwanted attention. Now you may look a certain way people don't like which is unavoidable, so the key is how you talk to people and god forbid, put yourself in a situation that gets you in trouble by actually doing something wrong. Do I believe in racial profile? I absolutely! But I also believe in Consequences for your actions. Robbing stores, assaulting someone. Don't do this!
Not at all am I saying that black people cannot be racist against white people, that’s ridiculous of course they can. What I’m saying is there is a history of oppression and pain that goes back decades against black people that has still carried over even to this day. There is no “Just get over it” until active change has been made.
Did I miss anything? Something you’d like to laugh off or would you like to tell me I’m lying about my experiences again? |

I never denied racism doesn’t exist. What I do deny is that racism without a doubt is not nearly as existent as the media leads you to believe it to be. In fact in many cases people of color have more opportunities than white people do for instance simply based on the color of our skin or ethnicity and that isn’t debatable that is fact |

I have plenty of actual real solutions as do many of the best black leaders. However they aren't listened to. Instead they listen to BLM and Al Sharpton who has made millions off of the racism issue. You can't have an actual real conversation about the issues or you'll be called a racist or a bigot. I agree that the youth need to be taught and mentored to correct behaviors. That starts in the household with proper parenting and a two parent household start there. Then fix the schools. Who runs the schools in the inner urban cities? Why won't the liberal democrats allow school choice where a parent can decide to send their kid to a good school instead of the crap schools they are forced to send them to. Why don't inner city minority children have the same access to good schools that white kids do? Is any intelligent person going to say that we can't fix the education system? Why is it so poor? Charles Barkley said it best. Poor black people have been voting for Democrats for 50 years. Their still poor!

If kneeling is a waste of time. Why have we spent 4 years talking about kneeling in football?
For the record I am against violence and rioting but about a month prior to Covid I was called a N*gger and an aboriginal at my local bar. I walked away because I considered the Consequences should I have done anything about it, in the position I was in. I wanted to riot all over that’s man’s face. I feel the pain of those angry whether they take action or not. You really think about this. |

Do you know any of this as fact or is this just whet you think? American is a big place and things haven’t changed everywhere.
I haven’t even brought up that man who walked into a black church four or five years ago and shot innocent Black people up. He talked to them first, almost changed his mind but he was on a mission. |

Bullpoop! The first time I was in NYC and a black man told me he couldn't get a taxi I laughed at him. I couldn't believe it was true, even though i'd already dealt with plenty of racism in my life. Even then, although we had less than 1% black people in my hometown we had a black mayor and I had a black doctor. I could not believe a well dressed man with money could not get a taxi. Then I started flagging them down for people and I was yelled at.
They'd stop for me, some punk living in a trailer selling christmas trees but not a black man in a suit. Crazy! I won't even get into the experiences I have in the southern states, but i'll contest you're wrong all day from my personal experiences as a white man. |

Simple stories seem hard to believe, right? Makes you wanna throw a rock at their taxi because you’re just trying to go from A to B. Throwing a simple rock at someone would be an act of violence. A start of rioting. Nobody thinks about where it could begin or how. It’s just against the law and you shouldn’t. |

My own personal experience is that violence doesn't get you very far, wether it's beatings or throwing a rock. It just helps justify someone else's opinion.
