From my point of view, Strome is a decent center. If you could sign him for 2-2.5, I would consider it, but at the end of the day, I don't think he really fits with the team. He is a "good idea", but is square peg/round hole on this team.

He's got really good hands and vision, but his legs don't allow him to realize his potential. As you said, he also doesn't have much, if any, strength/power to his game.

I don't think Barratt is anywhere in the conversation yet. He's a good prospect at this point, but no more. From what I've seen and read, Kurashev is much closer and would seem to be a great fit centering a 3rd line. It all depends on if he could hold up.

A little more muscle could go a long way for Strome make him a completely different player. Hmm, maybe a light will go on "I haven't been able to get faster maybe I should get stronger?"

If strome is dealt then what teams need a 2nd line center. Buffalo comes to mind Montreal. Plus any trade for the next couple of years will have to be value for equal value. So maybe strome for poehling something along those lines.
