Based on the lines at practice today JVR might be a healthy scratch tomorrow in favor of Bunnaman. What a disgrace that would be |

Why? If JVR is injured in game six of our series and we need to go to game seven, you want his replacement to have not played since March?
Sheesh!

First off I want to say I thoroughly enjoyed watching MJL spit facts for like an entire day straight in eks thread.
Second, it feels so good Hockey is back and even better that Oskar is back on the ice.
What would you guys think the chances of Oskar playing in a post season game this season would be? I think if the flyers can make it to the 2nd/3rd round we will have an Oskar appearance - Richieattack18
You would because I’m not convinced you aren’t a racist. At least with my experience of conversation with you. |

These guys have played one game in 5 months, and you want to sit regulars right before the playoff start in case guys get injured? Yeah that makes zero sense. |

Getting a game for a goalie is one thing, for a healthy scratch like bunnaman no. These guys haven’t played in how long, jvr needs to be in the lineup to get his act together. Not a fan of JVRs game. |

Right. The number of your seed does not change once it is established. They just did away with the brackets. The highest seed will always play the worst remaining seed. - mickel25
As it should always be. Dumbest change the NHL ever made.

Elliott tomorrow makes sense. Hart coming off some minor back spasms, and he will play the final game vs. TB before the playoffs start.
Even if AV didn't like the game JVR played against Boston, you don't sit him in favor of a player like Bunnaman who is borderline an NHL player. |

JVR was a total non-factor last game, he needs to be better. Perhaps they feel he needs a wake up call.
This is always the problem with him though. When he goes on a roll, he can dominate, but when he goes cold, he’s useless. |

It makes perfect sense.
JVR has played in two and will most likely get a third on the final RR game, if he is as you suggest out 1 game.
We got a first round bye, and we would be crazy to squander it. All players very likely to see play in the playoffs should get 1 game minimum due to the lengthy pause. Don’t misunderstand me, we play to win each game. It’s got to be a team effort to get back to the quality play before the pause and continue to ramp up the intensity. |

Bill,
Anyway you could confirm how the seeding works for the conference semifinal, conference final and cup final? Is the RR seeding for the first round only?
Thanks!

Bet you said that about Laughts and more recently about NAK. Am I right?

Since when do we start dressing the 13th forward and the 7th D for getting them ready for playoffs? These games count too.
I suspect this is a clear message being sent. JVR floated around, and the 3rd line was invisible except for NAK. AV said he thought some lines needed a little tweaking. I hope that is what this. JVR's play improved after demotion to 4th line last year. I honestly do not know what it will take for the guy to have a fire in his belly.
Come-on Bruins!! Wake up!!!

Agreed. These guys have seen minimal game action after a lengthy hiatus. It’s important to get him some ice time. - hereticpride
Well. How I see it. We have a better chance of winning against the caps. I feel it’s a better match up for us then Tampa. If Tampa does to us what they usually do I would not want hart going into the playoffs after a shelling. But also understand Wilson could be a bonehead and do something. Any decision could be right or wrong, depends how you look at it. 5 days to relax plus focus or 3. In this scenario I prefer 5. |

He’s a streaky player, that’s not going to change. He’s not good defensively and when he’s not scoring, the 4th line is where he belongs. At some point, as always, he’ll put one in and as soon as he does, get him in the top 6. When he’s hot, he’ll score in bunches. |

That's called coaching. If he feels a player needs a wake up call, then ice time is the best tool to send that message. Depth players who might be needed in a potential long playoff run also need to play some. Games in the RR are the best time to do that.
As for your comment as to what will it take for the guy to have a fire in his belly. JVR had a very good season for the Flyers before the stoppage. Why are you discounting that?

I just want him to show some moxie. He owes this city. He made us wait forever before he emerged from college after drafting. He should get lots of favorable match-ups playing on the 3rd line.
The problem is that Pitlick/NAK play a fore-checking dump-in game, and he plays a game where he will try to get open to snap one. In that sense, it might be better to have Bee as 3RW, as Bee is a better passer than the first 2.

How about this?

Looks like Morganti is out at NBC Sports Philadelphia. A bunch of cuts happening from the sound of it.

Taryn must be protected at all costs.
That’s a bummer tho. Al can be annoying but I always enjoyed his hockey takes. Greg Murphy was enjoyable for the Phillies too. I wish they would replace Tom McCarthy. He’s such a snooze fest . |

Meh. He’ll be sent off to Seattle soon enough. Hopefully he goes on a streak these playoffs. Honestly I’ve never been a big JVR guy. That said he does somehow manage to put up decent numbers every season. |
