Meh. He’ll be sent off to Seattle soon enough. Hopefully he goes on a streak these playoffs. Honestly I’ve never been a big JVR guy. That said he does somehow manage to put up decent numbers every season. - hereticpride
I'm not so sure the Kracken even take him. Would be nice to gain that cap space.
More likely Seattle takes Gostisbehere. |

Well. How I see it. We have a better chance of winning against the caps. I feel it’s a better match up for us then Tampa. If Tampa does to us what they usually do I would not want hart going into the playoffs after a shelling. But also understand Wilson could be a bonehead and do something. Any decision could be right or wrong, depends how you look at it. 5 days to relax plus focus or 3. In this scenario I prefer 5. - Peter Richards
We lost 1-0 and 5-3 with an empty net goal. Hardly a shelling.

JVR was a total non-factor last game, he needs to be better. Perhaps they feel he needs a wake up call.
This is always the problem with him though. When he goes on a roll, he can dominate, but when he goes cold, he’s useless. - BiggE
I’m not personally all that worried about JVR in this situation. I don’t know if he is just having a bit of a slow start or what, but we really don’t have the luxury of pulling any dead weight. Sitting one game could be motivation.
It’s also been mentioned that maybe he would do better with a playmaking center. Well, Laughton, Grant and Thompson aren’t that, and I’m not thinking he looked great with Hayes either. He needs to just play his best within the role he does have and put up points on the PP. Next season, maybe he sees time with Frost or Patrick.

That’s a definite possibility as well. Maybe the Flyers throw in something to sweeten the deal for JVR. I’m assuming the same rules are in place as with the Vegas draft where teams can work out trades in lieu of draft selections? |

I just want him to show some moxie. He owes this city. He made us wait forever before he emerged from college after drafting. He should get lots of favorable match-ups playing on the 3rd line.
The problem is that Pitlick/NAK play a fore-checking dump-in game, and he plays a game where he will try to get open to snap one. In that sense, it might be better to have Bee as 3RW, as Bee is a better passer than the first 2.

How about this? - PT21
JVR during the regular season, was 4th on the team in EVP, tying Claude Giroux for the same amount of points in 3 less games played. He played his best all around hockey under Vigneault also, cleaning up a lot of bad habits from the previous season. Farabee at this point in time is not a better player than JVR. It won't be long but not at this time. If a forechecker gets the puck, someone needs to be a scoring position and get to the scoring areas. JVR can do that.

Anyone think the Coyotes can beat the Preds? I do hope that they will be the lucky winner of the 1st draft pick should they lose their series. - NC Flyers Fan
I am a Nashville fan as well and I am hoping Nashville loses and they get that #1 pick. They are not a contending team right now so they need to get beaten and hope for that pick |

Was never a possibility. Was never even discussed to my knowledge but I could be wrong about that. |

Still a consideration. Was discussed. But owners against it given the times as it would mean salary cap spending + buyout money in difficult times. |
