That ended up backfiring on the Red Wings. Detroit lit up Roy and the Habs 11-1 that night and a few days later he was basically gifted to Colorado. Roy was the missing piece for them and they eliminated the Red Wings in 6 games in the WCF. No Roy no Cups for Colorado. Not only because of his excellent Goaltending but he was also the leader of those AVS teams.

Roy was traded that night by Houle and it was one of the worst trades in NHL history, Colorado actually got the two best players in the trade. Mike Keane and Roy. The Habs got three stiffs and the curse of Roy. (Thibeau, Kovalenco and Rucinsky or a bag of pucks)

Hey, I love specks and eyes as much as the next guy, but idk if I’d say they’re the only two good eating fish in Ontario.

We’d eat just about anything we caught.

Even if you had one, Guitar Pedals require a 9v adapter with centre negative plug which is a bit of an oddity when compared to other electronics, so I guess it saved your daughter's pedal?

As if they chose Mario Tremblay over Patrick Roy. There had to be some bad blood between the 2 before the Dec.2 debacle. How do you not fire Tremblay and make Roy happy? Then to just give him away for practically nothing? Dumb. When that trade happened I recall thinking the AVS just won the Cup even though Detroit was rolling. Unfortunately I was right.

I was actually going to dovetail a similar comment in my comments - from my recollection his real strength is being long and having a long stick and being decent and blocking passes out from behind the net. He's not overly mobile. He's not overly smart. He's not adept with the puck, certainly not where he makes quick and effective bumper passes to the open guy for the clear. But I am spouting the reputation he has. Someone with more data than me and my wonky eyes has to know something!
