Coho is nice

King (Chinook) is my fav, also love Sockeye. Once caught a 30 lb King with a hippy friend of mine in a Canoe in the Georgia Straight. He nearly killed me stabbing the fish as I had the bastard in a bear hug.

Well there is perch and crappie, but way to bony, bass is only okay but in the spring, otherwise wormy.
What am I missing? Pike? Okay if you fry it right, musky you just don't eat.
Oh the other trouts and salmon?
Lake trout is not bad.

- bobbyisno1

Catfish, ling, sturgeon are all decent.

Fish not to eat in Lake Nipissing are sheepshead, carp, whitefish, suckers, musky, gar pike, sunfish, mud pout.. but bass, walleye, pike, perch are all good to eat.

I like trout. Lakers are really fishy, gotta smoke them. Speckles are my fav, Splake is super red meat. Never had bull trout (illegal to keep in AB) but I tried browns, cutthroats, and rainbows out there.. all just okay. Never had grayling either.

After a bunch if years of guitar lessons (I can strum along to a lot of songs) I just started taking Zoom piano lessons from my daughter. She is an amazing teacher. She told me I could pick a song to work on - melody and chords.

I just decided on In My Life by the Beatles. Cool tempo and a clear melody. I'm psyched.

I've heard that spring suckers during their run are very tasty, can't get over the looks of them to try them.
On my river here we have a fish called fall fish, they are like suckers but they have a mouth like a chub.
Very white flesh, they aren't bad if you get them when the water is cold.

Parm goes on ya but watching/smelling those cherries burst and release their juice into the oil, garlic and chilis -- baby. The work to taste ratio can't be beat

I've also heard that spring catfish are good too.
My mother loves them, peeling them aren't fun.

Agree on the aglio ad olio...from there olive oil garlic and chili base just add whatever, can't go wrong....tomats, mushrooms, broccoli, asparagus, whatever. Definitely if I had to cook in a barren kitchen I'd buy pasta, oil, garlic first every time.

Throw some salmon on. I could eat salmon every day of my life.

Well maybe, just not a tomato fan, unless cooked to smithereens.

You're not even supposed to keep musky, right? I wouldn't try to eat one, unless I was starving. Then I'd eat raccoon if I had to.

I seriously right now have to salt, rinse, slice and then drip broil the blood out of four pounds of beef liver to make it kosher for this Jewish woman I'm in love with. Things I do for dat ass.

It's a sport fish, you can keep a trophy, but now all you have to do is take a picture beside a measuring tape and the taxidermist can recreate it.

Thanks for that Cupsie - I own a vast vinyl record collection, I have a huge wide ranging collection of music that I love. There isn't a song I love more than this one. The entire album is pure joy for me.

We never kept them, no. I’ve had it many times tho.. flaky white meat. Sorta tasteless. You catch lots icefishing, sometimes it’s all we caught so we’ll fry em up.
