I was wondering how many team doctors Leafs (and other teams) carry during their time in the bubble.
I would imagine that Leafs' team doctor has accompanies Muzzin to the hospital - however that would mean he'd need to be in quarantine for 4 days at least before joining the team again.
Or I guess the alternative woudl be that Leafs would have another team doctor outside of the bubble.
But for teams not from Toronto, I'm curious how that would work

I think you can find the same lack of consistency puts players at risk across the board.

It's actually pretty simple. if you go to a hospital, or travel by air, there is an automatic quarantine .... unless.... you take a test and the results are negative. Test results in Canada available in about 3 to 4 hours. A test that gives accurate results in 15 minutes is anticipated in the next few weeks.

Probably best result we could hope for.

Keep playing like they did yesterday and the leafs can make it out of this with a series win without Muzzin.

I find they let cross checking go all the time.

Watch the net front on a power play. The defenseman (sometimes even goalie) are just cross checking the hell out of the forward in front of the net.

Yeah, it's pretty insane. Seth Jones is doing his best Chara impression so far. He's been a crosschecking machine.

there is a high chance of a false negative when the test is just after the exposure (hospital visit).
i am really surprised that the league would allow Muzzin to come back into the bubble this soon after joining the rest of the team (although I imagine that all precautions were being taken to avoid any exposure during his hospital trip).

As Tampa saw last year, Torts and his squad of merry goons will not hesitate to increase the physicality if they can get away with it. I would imagine we will see a harder and dirtier Columbus effort in the next game, or Torts will murder his roster.

NHL player safety will have Nazem Kadri in for a hearing for Pierre-Luc Dubois' hit on Jake Muzzin from game 2 of the Leafs/Jackets game. Minimum 5 game suspension expected.

There were a few mitigating factors. One is that the NHL needs to be certain that necessary precautions are taken to effectively ensure that any player leaving the bubble for medical reasons is not at risk of exposure. This can lead them to waiving any 4-day minimum period.

That said, I read that while Muzzin is back in the hotel in the bubble, he is quarantining in the hotel.

There are designated isolation areas or they isolate in their rooms.
