Regarding TonyD, the guy was on pace for a 64 point season. How do we let that go? The offer would have to blow us out of the water to even think about it IMO. I get well have a lot tied up on the right side and it kind of shuts out Nils but we have no idea what Nils will be, we know exactly what TonyD is. Also, anyone think a team would be willing to take Smith with only 1 year left on his deal? I thought he played well the 2nd half of the season and in the playoffs. Only owed 2.3 but cap hit of 4.5.

I was throwing around the ideas of if we won the lottery, trading with Ottawa because they have 3rd and 5th overall and 7 other picks in the first 3 rounds

if they took on a big contract too, with their 40 million in cap space, who knows how much it could tempt the Rangers

but If Hank retires it solves all our problems

If we get the #1 pick the only way I trade it is for the #2 pick. I look at Lafreniere/Byfield like the Ovi/Malkin draft. Past that I wouldn’t feel comfortable dropping to #3 and #5.
