We have to be prepared for this.
We talk about him walking away from his last year like he's making $5.50 rather than $5,500,000.00.
Who would do that??? - Tonybere
He already got 1 million on July 1st so it’s 4.5 he’s owed. After taxes it’s 2-2.5. If he left and went to Sweden could he get a 3 million dollar deal? If he left and did broadcasting? Something to make it closer to around 1-1.5 million left on the table. Not saying that’s pennies but it’s not 5.5 |

hard for any of us to say or even comprehend since i doubt any of us are multi-millionaires. seems like a ton of money, but % wise how much money is that actually to him? No idea how much he's made over his career/endorsements. - Mtlca66
Fair point.
We need Danger here to tell us what it's like to live the high life so more. |

He is already a multi-millionaire.
He will get paid to play in the SHL too.
He is still a rock star back home.
He will be with more of his family than here in the U.S.
But the biggest reason would be to play a year with his brother! Apparently, they are pretty close and that would be a great ending to a storybook career... |

maybe a suitcase of 1 million in cash would make decision easier |

I've always wondered about these types of deals. Henrik announces retirement and will join the MSG crew for analysis (does maybe 1-2 appearances and makes $4M) |

trying to figure out the best scenarios for our first round pick if we don't win the lottery and I think we have to hope that Chicago, Montreal and Arizona win their rounds
what's hard is that it's based on winning percentage so like if Nashville loses, even though they had one less point than us, they played two fewer games so I think we'd pick before them?
but I am kind of thinking the best case scenario for us to to pick 11th at this point, Winnipeg will pick before us apparently, unless of course we win lottery |

Good luck. If Pittsburgh loses to Montreal you know Mario will slither out of the weeds and threaten to move the team again. I really will stop watching hockey if they win the lottery again, I can't take it. |

If that happens Bettman needs to grow a spine and tell Mario that he already gave him Cups, so go away. |

SOO happy to not be on there anymore. The Covid fights over lockdowns/masks along w the politics was enough to get me off there, just not worth it. I got off there just before George Floyd and all that fallout thankfully |
