Nice game last night. Pretty obvious you guys are the better team here. No idea how to explain it from the Penguins end other than we refuse to put our best 18 skates in the lineup every night. You guys have played well since the first game.
At this point, our chances at winning the 1st overall pick is higher than winning the Stanley Cup and our roster needs some work, so I'd much rather bow out now (although I'm not sure I see Crosby folding tomorrow on his birthday).

Kids learning and playing against a stacked talented team like the Pens > Maybe drafting a player that might help in 2-3-4 years from now ( we aren't getting Lafreniere). - WaterBoy
Kotkaniemi and Suzuki's coming out party has been entertaining, those 2 are gonna be big game players |

I will take all the play-off experience we can get, and then happily draft in the 9th spot.......Sanderson or Rossi would be nice addition. - Frozendisc

I would hope not... we going on a 3 game sample after a 5 month layoff and him centering the 4th line? |

The Penguins dont get a 1st overall pick often... but when they do, usually it is to secure a French Canadian superstar.
Actually hoping if we do pull off a series win, you guys win the pick. Seeing a homegrown talent in Montreal would be cool.

Nah, not just that. If centre is for some reason, the only option for him...he's got Suzuki, KK, Danault, Poehling, Evans as competition.
Having said that, I'm pretty sure he'll get a "prove it" deal soon. |

On paper, sure, we are the better team. But if one organization has learned that having a good team on paper doesnt mean much... it is the Penguins.
Same thing happened in 2015. We got beat by the Rangers in Round 1, everyone realized, especially management/ownership, that we had some structural problems and werent as good as we looked on paper. A lot of good moves were made, and 2016 and 2017 are history.
Feels like the same stuff here. Not the right kind of depth in our bottom 6, bottom defensive pairing is a disaster. stuff like that. Team just looks off. |

Poehling will be a LW, Evans will C the 4th line or move to RW if he proves to be more and Danault should be traded for a D so Domi can C the 3rd line! |
