Crosby won't go down easy on his birthday and Sullivan will put Jarry in. He has to, he was the best goaltender this season and he's done it before switching goalies before it was too late. He swapped Fleury for Murray when it was time and he'll swap Murray for Jarry now.

just because Dale Weise had a great game on his birthday doesn't mean Crosby can do it...

I really like how KK was chasing down pucks, playing hard, using his body to take the puck away and get it to his line mates.

No points last night, but was the reason for 2 goals.

Suzuki doing it on both ends, hope he sticks with Tatar and Gallagher for the next game.

Yup and Yup

Both 20 years old just dipping their toes, the C position looks like it may be solved after 2 decades of misery

Now if they can only lose the next 2 games and get the first pick... I think we might have a decent team in 2-3 years if we get lucky in the second round and pick a top 3 D (or two...).

No.

1st or 31st.

There is no middle ground.

They're not losing this series my friend...

And as far as a D in the 2nd round goes, Ryan O'Rourke looks pretty good....and he's a good Pickering kid!

as Karine mentioned, pretty sure if they beat the pens and lose in the 1st round they're drafting 16th..

Depends on where they go out in the first round, 1st team out gets 16th and so on....

Yup, most people thought the Pens would take it in 3 or 4 tbh, you can’t tell me this turn of events doesn’t surprise you

so if you get sweeped in 4 you have better chances of getting that 16th pick, and if you go to 7 games your chances are basically nil?

My big concern is that if they beat the Pens (and I am not sure they will), then MB will think this team is a lot better than it is and add pieces to win now at the cost of picks and assets.

Also, if they do not get #1 (settle for #9, I guess) or #31 (win cup), it was a failed season.

well if he's rational (and many in here will argue he isn't lol) he's probably surprised as well of how current events are unfolding, and will stay the course to build the team for the long run, and not be in "win now" mode
