so if you get sweeped in 4 you have better chances of getting that 16th pick, and if you go to 7 games your chances are basically nil?

My big concern is that if they beat the Pens (and I am not sure they will), then MB will think this team is a lot better than it is and add pieces to win now at the cost of picks and assets.

Also, if they do not get #1 (settle for #9, I guess) or #31 (win cup), it was a failed season.

well if he's rational (and many in here will argue he isn't lol) he's probably surprised as well of how current events are unfolding, and will stay the course to build the team for the long run, and not be in "win now" mode
