A contract is for an individual and how that player has succeeded as an individual. Points are huge.

And Marchand was a fraction of the player he is today. He turned into quite the star at 31 and sadly for the rest of the league it was after he signed his contract.

Meh at 22 years old just entering your career you have a lot to lose. That first contract is where you make your money these days.

At some point you have to stop blaming the refs for losses. It’s every year, regardless of opponent. The league is not ‘out to get Toronto’.
