hard working team that totally buys into torts and his system...
dubois changes the entire complexion of their team...if this truly is a breakout game/series for him - Michael Pachla
The Sabres scored 13 more goals then the Blue Jackets did this season.
The Blue Jackets were a top 3 team defensively this year though and gave up 27 less goals than Buffalo did.
The Sabres were a top 7 team in terms of reducing high danger opportunities but it didn’t look that way because our goalies gave up much 15-20 goals more than expected.
The major difference between Buffalo and Columbus was that the Korpisalo/Merzilkins tandem vastly outplayed the Ullmark/Hutton tandem.
For as much flak as Ralph gets on these threads he attempted to mold the team with his structures 5v5 to play like the CBJ’s, Isles, and Stars.
Ralph and company need to fix the PK, hope Ullmark takes the next step/find a capable goalie to be a 1A/B, and find a Center for the 2nd line.
I really do not think things are as bad as they seem. But I also understand I just turned 25 and a majority of the posters here have suffered much longer then I have.

Buffalo should trade Eichel who is an overrated malcontent and get a good haul for players that want to play in the city and don't get coaches and GM's fired every year. - islansjet
Anybody see that trade on Die By the Blade
Montour, Bryson, are 1st this year and Dallas 7th rnd to Calgary for Valimaki, Janikowski, 2nd and 4th 2020. That's a crazy trade.

Thank you for reading my TED Talk - Pegullaville
Hopefully that Sabres roster is overhauled in a major way with only 10 players under contract now.
Trade Montour, Risto, Sam in packages to bring in guys at the proper level (Top 6, 3rd aline, 1st Pair) with a high desire to win and a high compete level and let go of the deadmen walking that filled this roster. I believe the talent level within each of those levels is comparable, it is the mental side that differentiates, IMO. Find those guys.
Then let Ralph do his magic, hopefully with a more entertaining style of winning hockey than that poop show the last 2 years has produced with mentally frail players who need a soccer executive/ motivator extraordinaire to right the ship 15 times last season after they inevitably lost their way.
Not enough consideration is given to the mental side of this roster, and the Sabres teams in general over many, many years. The org has been intrigued by high talent, soft players, save for a few.
