If he wasn’t this past year with Forsberg & Arvidsson, idk how u can say that for sure with Skinner???
He wasn’t playing with Sobatka,
it was with super talented guys

And we play a defensive style too

And that’s the same kind of attitude that got us Okposo as a ufa

- jdfitz77

He's a 4-time 60-point center and Skinner is as talented of a goalscorer as you can find. Ryjo is a playmaker. It's a perfect match.

I would say with 100% certainty Ryjo is a 55 point center with Skinner

I'd take Bonino.

Underrated player, who won’t cost much to get,
and will be a help to us at a very reasonable Cap hit for what he provides

Then explain this year
Arvidsson & Forsberg are also “goal scorers”
and he was hot garbage

Also...
what stats would u predict Cozens puts up with say Skinner & MoJo/Kahun?
I really don’t think it would be far off from the
15-40-55pts that u think RyJo would get

I have no interest in throwing a rookie to the wolves again at 2C

His shooting % over that 90 games is like 4%.

Unless you’re completely oblivious to how averages or regression works, or actually believe he totally forgot how to shoot out of the blue, you yourself can’t even think he is all the sudden going to be a sub 25 goal scorer.

But don’t worry, when he inevitably does, as all the evidence points to him doing, I’ll remind the person who’s “seldom wrong”

- sbroads24

To add-on to your comment

The stats in the middle of the 19-20 season showed the following compared to his 18-19 season:
High Danger shots: -50%
Medium Danger shots: -20%
Low Danger shots: up, I forget the specifics...about +30% I think.

Is it any wonder his goals and therefore shooting percentage went down significantly?
Wonder why that was? Could it be he played with guys who couldn't create good scoring chances?
I wonder if an effective 2C would help him?

Hmmm

A rookie at 2nd line center is going to be a disaster again. We need a 2nd line center.

Cozens?

Cozens should be eased in at 3C or 2RW. Expecting 55 points at 2C at 19/20 years old is completely unrealistic. 40 points would be the ceiling id expect

55-60 for RyJo with Skinner and Mojo is very attainable. He's done it multiple times

If we could get Bonino & sign C.Smith,
I’d go...

Skinner-Eichel-Reinhart
*they were great, let’s get them back together

MoJo-Bonino-C.Smith
*good 2way line that can score AND defend

Olofsson-Cozens-Kahun
*give them heavy O Zone starts to shelter them a bit & take off “pressure”

Girgs-Larsson-Okposo
*obviously a good defensive line, but if we lose Girgs & Larsson, replacing them with relative unknowns like Asplund & Routsalainen (or whoever) won’t hurt as much bc we’d have a KNOWN in Bonino who can take on tough defensive responsibility

And that’s without moving Mitts or Montour/Risto
So there’s still opportunity to move some pieces & upgrade what’s above as well

Fine, but only bc you’re so hung up on it
Skinner with Jack
Olofsson on line3 with Cozens at Center

Still looking for an explanation for RyJo’s garbage season even though he had really good wingers

I get the sense that any explanation I give wouldn't be sufficient for you.

I'll just say again that he's had 60 points 4 times, and Skinner would thrive with a pass-first guy like him.

15+40 is completely realistic if hes playing with an elite shooter like Skinner. I think he could actually do better. 60 points wouldn't surprise me

He's a 55+ point center with Skinner. Guaranteed.

He's hit 60p 4 times. He could even hit 70 again.

a vet getting .67 ppg in the prime of his career is not good enough for the fan base

and .84 ppg in the playoffs

we deserve to suck

Apparently u don’t have a good one,
Bc those numbers should’ve also been completely realistic playing with Forsberg & Arvidsson
But.... 36pts

Do you really think he's a 36 point center on this team with Skinner?

Don't answer that. It's rhetorical

the simpletons is for everyone that thinks we don't need a vet scoring center in his prime and producing at a .84 ppg rate in the playoffs

once the preds got duchene, there was going to be a drop off on johanson

pretty sure everyone would agree on that, I mean if we got mcdavid for the first line, there would be a drop in eichels points

everyone is so fixed on the dropping of his points this year, the tree, that they can't see the forest, the team

a dman runs away as their point leader

and three lines are rolled almost evenly

I assume you have no problem with him getting 4 points in the 3 playoff games, esp since it's more then most of the players on our roster combined

Fans should be doing backflips if we get a center of RyJo's caliber. That's the absolute ceiling of what we'll get. Not only that, it's what we need. A pass-first 2C for Skinner
