Here's some
2:30 minutes less per game compared to last season.
23% drop in shots taken
64% Oz-starts to 53%

His shooting % went up about 35% which tells me his shots were coming from low Danger areas.

Buy low candidate for sure.
Do you buy mustard when it us on sale, or wait for a price increase?

I will say that $8m is alot of money...Adam's has to dump something...Mojo would be easier than Okposso and if Tolvanen is coming back to play say 3LW that could be smart.

They have to put out a hit on Okposo, pure and simple.

That’s MUCH more reasonable than just saying,
“He’ll play with Skinner”
I think those are fair points

I’m just not willing to gamble Jack’s future here on a guy coming off a terrible season with that bad contract

Are there any for a true 2C?
60pts

- IonSabres

I think we’ve already got one in Cozens
Just might not be right away

So I’m not desperate to get this “2C”
There’s other ways to improve the team with less risk imo

I can see it now. Sabres overpay got RyJo in a trade and Sportsnet writes a piece of buyout candidates in 2021 and 3 Sabres occupy the top 5 in Okposo, Ryjo, and Skinner

It’s entirely possible

Everyone's seen it. It didn't win games.
- Lunaion

That line isn’t why we didn’t win games
It’s bc we had NOTHING else

How is it that John Tavares looks younger and stronger than Austin Mathews?

Over this series, there is no doubt who the leader is......Tavares is Drury with Size

Seeing the impact Liam Foudy is having for CBJ right now and I can’t help but get excited for Cozens.

Cozens has the speed of Foudy but more talent.

Skinner doesnt need to be with eichel. I think eichel is better without him and his numbers proved it

Skinners production should return and if you get him some help there is no reason to believe he cant drive his own line

Also plays into the need more than 1 line narrative

I get why ppl are hesitant to be excited about him
We’ve had some bad luck recently with Centers
Mitts, Girgs, Grigorenko...

That doesn’t mean Cozens won’t be good right away
Every player’s development is different

That’s Eichel’s natural progression,
not “proof” of anything

Also...
I never said Skinner HAD to be with Eichel

David Savard is a player.

He’s been the best Blue Jacket d-man this series.

- Pegullaville

I watched him specifically in Game 4 with a lot of talk about him moving on, and what I noticed were several bad passes and some brain dead plays that lead to an icing or giving the puck away unnecessarily.

I hope he normally doesn't play that way.

Eichels natural progression or not I watched him be a better player without skinner

I wasnt directing the first statement at you, just in general

Eichel's goals and overall point totals went up, but his advanced stats went down, while his playing time also went up.

Cozens could be very good next year and that could translate to 20 goals and 20 assists.

I like him but he hasn’t been better than Jones this series

Jones is excellent

I agree. It’s hard to imagine Adams making any major changes until he gets a real solid look at what he has in the cupboard. Any additions will be made through UFA bargains

The wait and see mode is all over with the Sabres they don't have the time. Eichel is paying close attention to what happens this offseason.

Fair enough

I still stand behind my comment. I dont need them to play together. Skinner created chances night after night on his own and for most of the season couldnt buy a bounce

If olofsson takes a step forward next year there is no way I want skinner with eichel

I’m so tired of the wait and see. Or plug a rookie in way over their head.

Find a 2c. Hell, if that’s all they do I’d be happy...

Olo. Jack. Samson. (Cause Ralph)

Skinner. Real 2c. Tage.

Kahun. Mojo. Cozens. (This line rotates Through each position)

Find a Larry. Lazer Larry. Concussed Larry

I’m fine with rotating that 3rd line around and I’m fine swapping Tage and cozens based on opponent or situation.

Yes, upgrading 2rw would be awesome.

But in a “lean“ environment, if that’s all they do. I’ll see what they can do. Might squeak into the playoffs...

That 2c can be a Henrique, Domi, RyJo... they all have issues. Just about any one you bring in will have issues. But they NEED to fill that spot, period!

And 2yrs ago you would said u watched Eichel be a better player than any previous years without him

Jack has gotten better each year bc he’s a stud,
not bc Skinner wasn’t on his line this year

No, I watched eichel have the puck more because skinner wasnt keeping it off his stick

He is a stud no doubt. I want him to be the one with the puck. All the time
