50% chance the pick goes out west...

50% chance it goes to a team that most here (and around the league) would favor: Cats, Wild, Jets, Preds

I’d bet the house it’s Pittsburgh, Edmonton, or Toronto.

I don’t think many fan bases in tonight’s actual lottery share the same sentiment.

most everyone was against the play-in for buffalo because they didn't want to hurt their chances of getting a top-3 pick

That is very true.

I guess one teams fan base will share the same sentiment as Gerbe this evening.

Why wouldn’t they? They had a shot to get in the playoffs or #1 overall. They don’t get either they are at worst moving back only one spot. Many teams are moving up in the draft even if they lose the lotto. I’m not seeing your logic at all.

Constructive criticism: I don’t think you think your takes through. It’s like thinking you have the most confidence in all of the play in series that Edmonton would beat Chicago. OK, maybe not quite that level of numbskull thinking.

I think it’s absolutely hilarious that the Habs torpedoed their chances of picking 1st or 9th this year.

Well for starters, Chicago and Montreal desperately needed to pick 1st or remain in their slots in the top 10.

For seconds, Leafs fans are losing their minds about their playoff inefficiencies. How many Leafs fans do you think went nto this play in thinking “We need to tank for Laf” ?

whelp...instead of thinking so much about the draft and draft position and pining for that golden goose that will lay the golden egg for Buffalo, how 'bout just rooting for the team to win...you know, let the chips fall where they may...

kinda like columbus with what they did at the last 2019 deadline.

karma is real...

Sure, and what does winning 3 games and moving down 10 spots in the draft really do for these respective franchises long term ?

Once you’re in the dance, anything can happen but odds are heavily against the Habs and Hawks winning a cup.

put a quality product on the ice, and most things take care of themselves

problem with the sabres, no clue what the direction is

on one hand they are using the excuse card, hutton, skinner, olofsson etc
on the other hand, they are going all in with ralph, who knew the hutton situation and still only carried 2 goalies and even started hutton during the vision issues

on one hand they are saying they like their pipeline and their growth with olofsson, joker, dahlin, rochester, cinncy etc

on the other hand they canned the gm that did most of this and the entire rochester staff

on one hand it's draft and develop and the other hand it's rush them up

literally this is the most f'd up run nhl franchises

Look at all of the teams in the playoffs without a first OA pick playing for them.

Learn to (frank)ing draft.

Avs, Lightning, Hawks, Caps are the teams with 1OA players.

how many goalies to carry is not ralph's call...that said, i agree with the premise that this franchise is f~cked up...

but...

that could very well be the karmic cost of loosing on purpose
