If the NYR were willing to add a first or 2nd rd pick.

Would you take Lundqvist and a pick for Hutton?

If we have the Cap room, then sure
It’s only 1 year
So if it gets us a 1st, I’d say it’s worth it

But again... only if we have the Cap space
So it depends what other moves we can/can’t make this offseason

quick question

if the oilers or leafs offered you their first round pick right now, before the lottery, for our pick

do you make the trade?

No. Law of averages says I have a 87.5% chance of moving back 3-4 picks.

Also don’t think they could even trade the pick nor would they want to

I posted it yesterday, all alumni contracts, aside from kelly is no longer honored

it's now going to be per event, instead of salary

gets them leaner and the move was made prior to covid, around the time of the kim rant to bills employees

Yep. Worth the risk of dropping back
There’s other goal scoring wingers available in the 12ish range

I am just amazed that in a few hours, the team with the 7th best record could get the first overall pick

They should have just waited and did the lottery tonight for all teams that missed the playoffs with their appropriate odds.

I guess that’s fair
Usually to terminate a contract there’s some $$$ involved though

Seems like much ado about nothing to me though

Leafs pick goes to 13, then to Carolina for the Marleau trade & buyout. We should have done that deal.
