Nelson and his line were very good today, even if Nelson's "hits" are never going to register on the Richter scale. I was responding to someone who said Lee, Martin and Nelson were not battling for the puck, or along the boards, or something like that. It seemed to me that Lee and Martin were battling hard, whereas Nelson was being Nelson. He doesn't hit often, and when he does, it ain't hard. But for the record, I did in fact see him lay a couple of hits today. More importantly, he had a beautiful snipe for a goal.

He also took a couple big hits and it didn’t phase him.

Nelson under Trotz is a different player. Guy does what he needs to do and then some imo. He still has his bad moments but overall he’s great 2nd line center.

Really it’s Bob from Hauppague or Rodger Roper from Leaf fantasy land I can’t tell but it’s definitely one of them.

This team reminds me of the bruins when they started to get going under Claude julien. I watch a lot of bruins games bc of the market I live in and my best friends are all Bs fans. That said, I think Trotz has done a great job getting guys to play his style and into their strengths. These guys are playing a team first mentality. That can carry them a long way. I now hope we keep wining since the Laf Dream is gone. And it can only help our young guys.

He also laid out to clear the puck on the PK. He's was good the whole series. Y'all need to give him some credit (not directing this at you JS). That line did it's job and then some.

Agreed, best line of the series by far imho.

Oh yeah. I credited him during the game, but in my summation, forgot that PK dive that chipped the puck out of the zone. Thanks for not directing that at me, Jimmy. I didn't start out to criticize Nelson. It was more to defend Martin and Lee, neither of whom was great today, but I liked their battle level. [ducks for cover]

Columbus up 2 - 0 over Toronto. Tavares is -2. The more things change, the more things stay the same.

More importantly bazralnwas the best player in today's game and if he starts to get it in gear we could be on to something here

Barzal was definitely better and good today compared to last 3 but Beau was the best Islander as he was in every game of this series.

Now STFU.

Belive it or not RodgerRoper has made an appearance on the Leaf’s thread.

Once the Leaf’s lose I will have to make him a visit.

If the Leafs lose, and Tavares continues his "stellar play", I think we should all express our condolences on the Leafs board.

I suspected he was talking about Barzal, but I wasn't sure, considering I agree with you (!) that Beau was the best player on the ice again today.
