Without a doubt. Lemieux is already warming up and stretching his mouth muscles for Bettman.

So with Pittsburgh and Nashville’s elimination today means the worst the Rangers pick can be is now 12...Jimbo is happy

I would be astonished if the Pens don't win the lottery. The NHL doing the drawing behind closed doors with Sid and Geno in their twilight...no chance the league wants the Pens to go through another period where they aren't competitive and can't draw attendance

I know we all beat this horse to death but seriously if it seems to me that if the draft lottery was a legitimate exercise they would go nuts with the theatrics...have custom ping pong balls with team logos and colors and let everyone watch them loaded into the machine and pop up to the top like the state lottery...the anticipation would be off the charts

Instead it happens behind closed doors and we get a guy reading cue cards like he's Ben Stein selling eye drops

i never realized they had all those weird numeric scenarios to determine the draft order until this year. i honestly assumed it was balls with team logos and each team got X amount based on their percentage

So there is now a 50% chance the top pick is going to either the Rangers, Pens, Oilers or Maple Leafs. That will piss off most of the league

I've been a Ranger fan since 1962 and I have one Ranger's bucket list item left and that's to see this team get the 1st pick overall. I got my cup in 94, lived through Middleton for Hodge, and this is the only thing left. We did well with the draft dropping from 14 to 10 or 11th pick now if the hockey Gods would hear my prays we will get the #1 pick, which for some reason I think they will. Wanted to know if you guys would do a Rangers podcast which I will pay you for.

My suggestion isn't a specific question, but something to be included in any question that pertains to roster players/salaries.

How does the looming Expansion Draft affect the decision made for a particular signing/trade/buyout?
