Unique position to draft a franchise caliber player just went out the window I’d imagine is what’s wrong. Especially considering, like you said, we’re almost certainly going to lose the very next round anyways... - SimpleJack
Corey keeps playing the way he does and a little puck luck, we can beat anyone.

Seemed to have found the balance in his conditioning the last couple of seasons. Also, one of the years he was considered bad was the same year Hossa couldn't buy a goal. Toews would have had at least 10 more points. Plus, his stats, other than points, were pretty consistent with career averages. He was still dominating shot metrics but was getting no rewards. |

One perspective think about regarding advancing and thus eliminating the chance at the #1 draft pick is the Blackhawks just beat a team that has a few former #1 draft picks (McDavid and Nugent-Hopkins) plus a #3 (Draisatl) who would be the consensus #1 if the 2014 draft was redone. |

LOL
Maata and deHaan are older vets back there that cannot skate like Duncs... - wiz1901
To win in the playoffs you need a goalie plus a wheelhorse (#2) and 2 guys like how DeHaan and Murphy played together.
Look what Julien did in front of Price with Weber, Petry and Chiarot.
The Hawks arent going much further but they did what they needed to do against the Oil. And in a number of ways Colliton and Crawford outcoached Tippett. |

It seems the best we were hoping for was to get the kids some playoff experience. Well, someone forgot to tell the vets. I think someone here said 5 overtime games, but losing the last and getting #1 pick. Hate to admit I was kind of hoping for that, but I hate losing more which is what we've been doing too much of that the last few years. I hope we play well and give the #1 seed all they can handle. Go Hawks! |

Toews haters, where are u now? There will never be another Hawk quite like him. Immensely talented, never gives up, plays his balls off every shift, and is the best leader in professional sports. My man crush on 19 will never stop. I absolutely love the Captain!! |

Signs of life for the Leafs. The lack of a crowd in this situation is huge. |
