Maybe, but he’s still not elite.

He doesn’t have to be. As long as he stays steady he’s all the Hawks need.

Vegas has better depth up front for sure. Their D is a just collection of guys. They play their system well but they are beatable. The Avs lack some depth up front but their D is better.

Crow is the best goalie of the bunch, maybe. Depends on which Flower shows up. When he is on, he has had a giant horseshoe up his ass against the Hawks.

I’ll be excited to watch any additional hockey the Hawks are willing to play. With the large break and the ability for guys to get a good restful reset, I’m not sure you can say the teams that finished at the top of the divisions will really be that much better.

I was happy simply for the fact that hockey was being played again. The Hawks being in it is quite the cherry on top.

Sure, we would have loved the #1 overall pick but the only things the Hawks were guaranteed was a 12.5% chance at the pick. In all likelihood the Hawks would have been drafting 9-10.

Now the young Hawks get some more great post season experience and most importantly they get to continue to learn from Toews, Kane and Keith. I’m super excited to see Dach, Kubalik, Boqvist and DeBrincat get exposure to the pressure and excitement of playoff hockey.

Preaching to the choir here bud. I don’t give a hairy turd about the Hawks draft pick. Whichever one they get, Kelley will do his best to pick the best of what is remaining. I’m much more interested in seeing the current team grow in the playoffs than hope for whatever comes in the future.

No doubt that Askarov will be gone when the Hawks draft. I’ll have to get to work on a new draft target for the Hawks.

So with MIN, NSH and WPG eliminated there's a 37.5% chance that Lafreniere will play in the Central.

Watching Toews dominate this series and show the boys (97 & 29) how men play hockey in warm weather season was absolutely beautiful. I think the Hawks have a better shot of beating the Avs given their more open style of play.

Kalynuk, Beaudin, Mitchell should be playing on our defense by seaaon end. Possibly one of them is rotated in every few games, since dressing three rookie is almost unheard of doing.

By all accounts they are close to nhl ready. But Carlsson should be starting too. Bowman has some high end talent among his prospects on defense. Too good to press box; when they look ready based on training camp & AHLgp last season and more AHL possibly next season. Think, plus two as well since Kyrs & Regula may need only one AHL seadon.

Good puck movers and mobile each one. Each skates well to extraordinary

I'm happy anytime chicago wins. However I don't see chicago getting past vegas , Colorado or st Louis . The team still has to address consistency. The third period Chicago was outshot 19 now in the end we won but going forward the team has 5o be more aggressive in the offensive zone and not sit back .

The series is tied up. Who would have thought Columbus after all the moves they made , they would be pretty good still.

Toronto has lots of talent but I think chemistry is something they seem to be lacking

You don't think Vegas would start extra-motivated Lehner in potential series with the Hawks? Can’t wait for this story to develop

it would be nice if ADB gets his head out of the clouds or ass if you prefer....he was nowhere this series and that boarding penalty like WTF...
- bogiedoc

AdB played well - mostly - I think he needs to be more goal-conscious, but his overall game is much better and when he gets his scoring touch back....

I thought the only young first-timer who looked like he didn’t belong yet was Boqvist. Too much “wrong place - wrong time”, passive....

I know alot of hawks fans want to believe that Crawford will magically play like the crawford of 2012-2015. . That ship has sailed he is 36 years old spent almost 2 years recovering from 2 concussions. This year his game wasn't as strong as years past.

Lehner outplayed crawford hands down this year . Many of Chicago's wins where goalie wins due to lehner anyone who tries to shrug that off imo isn't being honest about Chicago's season.

People like to use past achievements that happened 5 years ago as a way to justify some upper hand .

Anything can happen it's the playoffs but I'm giving vegas and lehner the edge over Chicago. Lehner reflexes have been incredibly great and vegas is by far a more complete team.
