Yes!!! Wiz... you got my guy Holloway in the Hawks spot.
- Tyler Cameron

MY guy too... I think he will go in the top ten, because I see the upside, but apparently the teams are clamming up on their love, or the fact he isn't a polished scorer yet when playing with men in Wisconsin, MIGHT diminish their love for him early because everybody is looking for quick scorers early.

And D.

Remember when their trolls said Keith wasn't worth the draft pick or young players.
Think they'd love to have him now

- vabeachbear

Remember when they said Rielly was as good as Keith? Keith at his age now is playing better than Rielly

You guys sleeping? or drinking? How am I 1st.

I slept through the game yesterday...did I miss anything? Jk...I watched the replay on my new best tech friend. The trusty HULU. Kubalik from Toews. So awesome. I'm joyous to share the feeling with all of us fellow hawk fans the feeling of winning a close series. Game of inches.

While Maata is glacier slow - hes a very smart player

You see so many bad turnovers by EDM D, there are several times you'll see Maata eat a puck/take an extra hit rather than throw it away

That takes balls time and time again - as well as being a smart/aware player

- PatShart

He has a few Cups as a regularly shifted player, correct?

I thought he was better than that. Nurse was not good this series.

Edmonton have some work to do this offseason.

- Tyler Cameron

EDM needs a guy like Keith and it's why its completely foolish for anyone that wanted the Hawks to trade Keith

There was a point where Keith's game elevated to another speed yesterday. Forsnt mean he doesnt make mistakes still..but he has laser focus on the next play. And there is never panic in his game.

A few time Murphy and DeHaan both were blindly and weakly at times throwing thr puck away trying to clear. Dont think for a minute Keith doesnt say something to then and they're being able to play with him and see first hand - can elevate them.

That's the reason you always hear coaches/"experts" clamoring for vets at playoff time and Cup experience

The EDM D at times was handling the puck like a hand grenade. The only very they would have had back there would have been mike green.

Now THERE is a team that could use a guy like Seabrook on D.

Hmmm. Maybe we should put Kalynuk in there or no...Regula. no...Beaudin!
In all seriousness, we should have learned not to force passes to the neutral zone when world class offensive opponents are lurking. No shame in playing it safe, when the guys on the ice on the other team, can torch us in a heartbeat

Keith needs to retire a Blackhawk after playing his entire career with the team, period. End of discussion.

I do think the layoff and return to action helped players like Keith, Kane, Corey and Toews, they have so many miles on them

Hopefully Corey continues his play from game 4, the Hawks need that.

I’m looking forward to the next round, I’m not worried about the outcome, I just want to see the young guns get some much needed playoff experience. They need to learn what it takes to succeed in the post season and they have some of the best teachers in the league. I’d just like to see a hard fought 6 or 7 game series.

Last try, then I’ll give it up as hopeless.

Go to https://www.hockey-refere.../c/crawfco01/gamelog/2020 and look at Crawford’s game logs. For the last 20 games:

14 giving up 2 or less
Only 1 giving up more than 3
10-9-1. In 5 of those 10 losses he gave up only 2 goals - meaning the Hawks scored only 1 or 0.

Now look at Lehner’s last 20 here https://www.hockey-refere.../l/lehnero01/gamelog/2020

7 giving up 2 or less
7 giving up more than 3 - including 4 in his last 5 games here, while the Hawks were still fighting for a playoff spot, after his contract negotiations broke down
11-7-2 - including 1-3-1 in those critical last 5 games

Third time I’ve posted these stats. You may not like them - but they exist.

- StLBravesFan

It's fairly simple Crow sucked early probably because he was mad about Lehner. Lehner sucked late probably because he was mad at management and himself for choosing Chicago. Together they sucked almost exactly the same.

Same here, i truly believe if they can do what Columbus did when Grubauer was in goal for the Caps for the 1st 2 games of that series the Hawks will win the series, if they play the Avs

I actually like their chances more vs either Avs or Knights, than Blues and Stars

I don't recall if it was in game 1 or 2, but Kane took got a whack on the hand that didn't get called. He was shaking his hand afterward and I wonder if that is bothering him and affecting his puck handling. I know the ice hasn't been optimal but it seems he isn't puck handling as well as he usually does.

I saw him zip a few shots and carry the puck in with his usual stick handling. I literally remember thinking how awesome his stick handling was when he carried the puck into the zone yesterday

I’m thinking Marat Khusnutdinov is the guy. 5’9”, 150 pound Russian... sounds about right.

Lehner has a clinically diagnosed bipolar disorder - so I say we should give him some deference on any character assessment.

He’s a good goalie - but I’d rather have Crawford in net - particularly in a breakaway/shootout situation.

- Chief4Feathers

Every D-bag has a reason they’re a D-bag,bottom line....still a D-bag.

He’s a big, positionally sound goalie. In other words, he gets in the way of a lot of pucks. He’s not athletic, doesn’t control rebounds, and sucks one on one with a skilled shooter.

He’s Meh.

I mean, did we not just beat a team with the “best player in the NHL” and two other #1 picks? A balanced roster and character can mean a whole lot more than generational talent come playoff time.

ETA: i see Theo had a similar idea

- pdx2ord

Another perspective to consider regarding your best players not all needing to be 1st rounders is the blueline. Even if you count Seabrook as the 7th man, all of them are former 1st rounders except the team's true #1 defender Keith:

Keith - Boqvist
de Haan - Murphy
Maatta - Koekkoek
Seabrook

Then besides Beaudin, the team's top D prospects are not 1st rounders: Carlsson, Krys, Kalynuk, Regula, Demin, and Vlasic.

Yep, and i thought Boqvist was present in game 4. Progress and as much as i don't care for Koekkoek he had a very nice game 4. Don't think it's a coincidence that Maatta, Boqvist and Koekkoek had better games and the Oil only scored 2 goals. We need more of this going forward
