I don't think it's a step in the right direction. Especially in a place like Montréal, where it's an absolute UFA dead zone.

As for Suzuki and Kotkaniemi getting playoff experience...they are both 20, plenty of time for that.

Woulda been happier if the Habs lost the series.

This team is not good enough to contend and another top 10 pick would have helped a lot more, given only poopty free agents come to Montreal (or ones no one wants, but maybe turn out OK anyways).
