Tavares was a terrible choice for captain, he's about as inspiring as dry whole wheat toast.

matthews seems to care more about what ridiculous clothes he's wearing walking into the rink than he does about winning.

nylander is probalby the softest player in the league

marner is nowhere to be found when the games matter.

a lot of other players on the team seem to genuinely care, but the most talented guys are completely unable to get it done when the games actually mean something

I’m a nobody as far as sports go but I played everything but lacrosse cuz conflicted with baseball. I cannot stand to watch this effort or make up on this team. It’s pathetic & reminds me of every POS i played with ir against. I gave it my all win or lose for the fun of the game. These guys make me puke. If one thing I’m proud of I never quit & I hustled & engaged at every chance. It made a better player & we provincial ball championships. I was a star & had an ego but i never was self important & always claimed the more players that pushed me down the list the better we were. Winners want it & go get it & nothing but desire & determination gets it done.

I can relate with that mentality, because I consider myself to be the same. However.. Big money ruins people. I didn't have millions in the bank when I was 22, so I can't really speak as to where your priorities go after that. If these guys are the example I'm inclined to think negatively about it though. 🤷‍♂️ Zero heart.
