Never said that.

Just pointed out how many people were whining and getting ready to blow it up when they were losing. Elvis is the reason that game wasn’t tied the whole game.

Dude you really have no clue. This team, despite last night's "heroic" 3 minutes, needs changes made.

I said earlier that there were a bunch of excuses or reasons for lack of performance, including players wanting to be paid. I still stand by they need to just get it done. Not 4 mins and OT. A real effort and dominate game 5.

If anyone says they had faith the Leafs were going to win that game at 3-0...they are outright bullpoopting, bullpoopters.
- Woderwick

Nope.

But freaking out every goal that the leafs need to trade Marner then flop back to it is pretty funny to watch.

No changes required? Leafs are "all good"??

Neither of Toronto's 3-goal fails in recent years was this bad. The time frame was crazy. I think it is the worst collapse I have ever seen.

I would have been totally surprised if Santo hadn't predicted exactly how it happen for us.

- Aetherial

Never said I predicted it.

Just making fun of a lot on here who flip flop on every goal and let the scoreboard decide how a game is going.

The Leafs deserved the comeback. CBJs goalies are the only reason this series is still a series right now.

If it was the other way around we’d be saying Freddy is the only player keeping us in the series.

It’s just funny how people react to the Leafs.

For sure. Every GM who has assembled their “ideal” team, immediately starts looking to improve it. Leafs have lots of room for improvement. Could simply be the way these current guys decide how to play. This team looks immature to me too many games.

How do you expect people to interpret that?
- Aetherial

I don’t expect people to interpret it as “blowing it up”

It’s hockey and sometimes a goalie steals a series. People need to stop getting their panties in a twist over this team.

It.is.hockey.

The parity in this league is insane, people shouldn’t be surprised anymore when a team like MTL beats Pitt, or CBJ Beats TB, Colorado beating CGY, WC teams winning.

People expect the Leafs to win a series 3-0 and be winning the entire part of it. Just watch the (frank)ing game and series until it’s over. No need to freak out over every goal scored.

I think most of the talk was a trade of Marner for Jones. Jackets would never do it, but if that fantasy trade was possible, no way that wouldn’t improve this team immensely. I would be ecstatic.

I still want Pietrangelo if the Leafs can get him.

But last night at least showed that there is a bit of fight in the leafs best players.

They have been mediocre since Jan. 2019. You are what your record says you are. That is a large sample size. Team is not balanced.

I love the patronizing tone from you.

People may *think* the Leafs will win in 3, but they don't expect it.

They also don't expect them to blow a 3 goal lead and then fail to show up for 56 minutes in an elimination game.

The comeback was a miracle, worst collapse I have ever seen. That doesn't suddenly erase the years of collapses and failures and embarrassments from this team, regular season and playoffs. They have a habit of disappearing. We have all seen it.

Couldn’t believe I was watching them play in overtime. Still having a hard time grasping the opportunity moving forwards after that 3-0 score.

Marner was a turn over machine last night. If someone didn’t see that...not sure what game they were watching.

When you underperform at times, have little resilience, and are inconsistent with your effort in the playoffs four years in a row, that is not parity, the vagaries of the luck of a cap system. That is a trend. Why not demand that this team win, Santo, instead of twisting your panties in a knot making excuses for them? Your "oh well" mentality is pretty leafy.

I don't know quite how to articulate this, and maybe this is through blue-tinted glasses, but it didn't feel like a Columbus collapse.

They didn't play badly.

The Leafs won it more than the Jackets lost it.

Does that make sense?

Personally I think someone like Savard is exactly what we need (and affordable)

Similar to Pesce, Parayko etc

Perfect partner for Rielly
