I cannot disagree with you about how I'm acting on this thread. Haha It IS rather childish, but I'm pissed off and I'm totally ranting, but I am serious. My elite 2013 son, one of the very best in the province, just got a clinic on how NOT to play C. We've been waiting for this playoff for 5 months so I am upset.

I think I could've played a more responsible game than Leon for these past 4 games.

I know I'm being annoying, but I'm not a kid. 47, earned a regular 6fig paycheck to play this great game 20yrs ago and I'm fkn angry. I swear I can do better than this lazy fkn kid at my age right now.

Sorry for the excessive ranting but yeah...I'm pissed.

Also, wife is 12yrs younger and a universe out of your league rook.

IMO Neal is way overpaid but was a decent player for the majority of the season. He played a good role in these 4 play in games.

Its not his fault of course. But just imagine the difference he could have made for us if he wasn't playing like a useless plug. His points don't really matter in the grand scheme of things if he isn't doing anything at all to prevent them. There was no effort in his game at all. Anyone who argues against that should not watch hockey anymore. He made a lot of lazy and weak plays specially in tonight's game when the effort would have mattered the most.

I still wouldn't trade him though, just want to smack him around a bit is all.

I love the old hawks oilers series from the 80’s where we had our ass handed to us by Gretzky mess kurri... etc... he played scared and deferred the whole game... he can score all the points he wants but when it’s crunch time... no dice..

Oh I agree...I said it all season and before the play in round.

Guy has a billion points and is a minus player...when your team gets outscored when the "MVP" is on the ice you have problems

5g and 5a at even strength. Sure, he did well on a PP that featured Nuge, McD and Draisaitl. But is that a guy you give 13-15 minutes a game to? Can't play 200 foot game, a PP specialist....All for the bargain price of $5.75m, plus the $750k to Lucic.

Maybe the Oilers bottom 9 has jaded me. Obviously 5.75 is horrendous but I thought he was as good as most in the bottom 6 and could play up better than most. He started well and slowed quickly. Is there way better options? Oh hell yeah, but he was the Lucic contract out.

Or, the players can just play better. Management built a pretty decent team this year, pretty sure they didn't ask the players to give up on plays, make stupid no look passes, or in Draisaitl's case tonight pass when you are wide open in the slot down a goal, he tries to slide a pass through the legs of the defender to a team mate who has a much worse angle than he does. Just dumb little plays that cost the team tonight.

Why did Tippett break up the best line in the league and not play them together? Why did he start Smith in Game 1 when everyone knew the guy was going to come out of his net and turn the puck over for a goal against? He was a good regular season coach but these are some real boneheaded calls on him.
