Calling it now..a canadian team wins the cup this year. Nucks, Flames, Habs? Time will tell. Maybe Toronto if they win tomorrow.

I like the Canucks. They could be this season's Blues.

As much as I would love it, the Habs just don't have the necessary fire power to go all the way (let alone winning the first series).

Julien's defensive system might have worked against an uninspired (*old*) Pen's team but I doubt it would work again against the Flyers (or *gulp* Bolts). Not trying to be negative on purpose but I'm also a realist.

We are in a rebuilding phase and just making the playoffs this year was totally unexpected. However, any playoffs experience our kids gets this year is a big plus.

To be fair both Montreal and Pittsburgh played terrible that series, price won it.

If Montreal’s roster can pick it up they may have a chance at knocking philly or Tampa but that’s a big “if”.

Phillys been hot in the round robin and Tampa should have a lot to prove after last year but at the same time they don’t have the momentum gained by winning a series. Could easily be a ton of upsets next round as well.

The Habs were consistently the better team. I cannot explain any of the pens coaching decisions:
Jack Johnson should never see the ice again for the pens yet sullivan believes that his PK is strong enough that he should be in the line up
Murray's save % when johnson is not on the ice is 200 points higher (.750 when he is on versus .939 when JJ is on the bench)
After montreal scores in game 4, sullivan ices mccann's line. mccann who was a healthy scratch in game 3 and hasnt scored in 25 games.
broke up letang/dumo pairing to have letang skate with schultz who has not been the same since the broken leg (suffered against the Habs)

Looks like sullivan is suffering from bylsma syndrome. after game 1 loss, he doubled down and made no line up changes. he chased ian cole out of town but firmly hugs johnson.

I miss watching Malkin and Kessel argue on the bench. Trade the big moose to Arizona so he can play touch butt with his buddy.

The Nucks definitely have the feel of a dark horse. Other teams I think could surprise are Calgary, Carolina, and Philly. The latter two aren't necessarily "dark horses", but I think some people still don't get how for real those two teams are right now.
