I'm actually more concerned about the cheap-shottery of Ben Chiarot. Its not often that I feel sympathy for Mr. Crosby of the Penguins, but that cross check to the head that he received at the hands of Chiarot in the play-in round was worthy of a major and a game misconduct, imo.

I hate to admit but Ghost really was pushing the offense the other way last night and was a difference maker. The reason why I hate to admit this is, Hägg has played well and worked so hard all season. I think we have to go with Ghost.

It is hard to believe this is the same team that just months into the season was so fragile they fell apart anytime a goal was scored against.

Good game. Solid victory by Philly. Painful to watch from my perspective, but must have been great for Philly fans.

I've been saying in the other threads, that I have watched most of the eastern conference round robin games, including both of the Flyers games before Tampa. Philly looked sharp, the goaltending looked solid for the first time in a long while, and they looked motivated. I wanted no part of it and this game confirmed my suspicions.

I could tell it would be bad game when Hart stoned Kucherov (twice). The ice surface looked snowy and bad. And then when Hedman twisted his ankle, I started double-shots of whiskey to dull the butthurt.

Well, you guys get Montreal now. That should be a win, unless Price goes back in time.

Great confidence builder. I absolutely think we will see Tampa in Conference final. Lot can happen but they are good. Match ups are key against them.

as posted friday, joel got his goal. he looked good on 1st line.
i have been relentlessly promoting team depth. restart proves that we have far more talent than recent past, and a lot more on the way with nopa, oskar, frosty, etc.
nak is proving me wrong in his finishing abilities, which i doubted watching many phantoms games.
young d corps thriving as well.
but most impressive is team defense.
combined with solid goal tending, this team can make some serious playoff noise.
lets hope the vets get their stuff together and lead team to a cup.

Yeah, they have no business being in the playoffs with that roster. The Pens played like someone slipped roofies in their gatorade. Price might steal a game, but Philly shouldn't have any problem running them over.
