Saw that and answered

Only reason I go there is Rodger Puckin Roeper

They’re actually mostly good guys w same thoughts/hopes as we have. They’re just stuck w a bunch of chiefs and no braves as players.

Keith Jones just suggested that Barry T. might want to put Ross Johnston into the lineup to deal with Tom Wilson.

Keith Jones had a lot of hits to the head

He maybe on the 3rd line but I think Barry goes with the group that won against Fl. Imho.

Yeah, I don't always agree with Keith either. The one thing I can agree with YOU about is that, if we see Ross, it's on the 3rd line. I don't see him going in for Martin, unless of course Martin gets injured.

100%, no way Barry breaks up that 4th line.
They are solid and do their job and then some.

I don’t care if **Andrew Ladd gets inserted into the line as long as we don’t have skilled guys in precarious situations and we win.
**this is the ONE thing I’d question about Trotz and his $5M. 😁😁

I never questioned the best fourth line in hockey but I see them different that you in recent time and last series. You think they’ll resign MM? Serious question and one that supports my thoughts if your answer is no

Team friendly deal yes. So I think he will. Matt wants to be here and so does Sidney.

All is right in the world again. John Tavarse (aka Pajama Boy) is once again bounced from the dance as the Isles move on. Long live the curse of John Tavarse. May he never win a playoff series again in his career.

I suggested that in my post on Ben Shelley's last blog post. I suggested maybe placing him on the third line wing.

The absolute irony the John Tavares left the isles high and dry at the 25th hour to join what he believed was his best shot at the cup is just desserts. 30+ shmill on their top line last night and nobody could score. Wonder boy Dubas built a team for 5 on 4 hockey and to win the presidents cup....cause that certainly isn’t a playoff team. That leaf team looked panicked.....kinda like when the isles couldn’t hold a lead for years with 91 as captain. Sound familiar?

So glad they fire Babcock because he wanted the to play a complete system defense included and the danglers and flashy boys complained to management

3-0, so glad Toronto can score, but can’t play a lick of defense

- nyisles7

Only the Leafs could win a game like game 4 and then get shutout in Game 5.

I laugh at Tavares getting bounced again. I wish nothing but the worst for the guy as far as success in the NHL and it’s deserved imo but my dislike for that team started way before Tavares and has little to do with him leaving us. Tavares is just the punchline and cherry on top. I never liked the Leafs, the vast majority of their fans, literally everything about them. They’re an easy team to dislike.

For me it started with the Darcy Tucker cheapshot on Peca. But, I can’t get over the fact that he pulled one of the most gutless bushleague moves in the NHL, all to give himself a better shot at winning and it blew up in his face. For all the stat guru’s, I’m curious what the corsi is for having heart? Cause when Jason phucking Spezza is the hungriest guy out there, it’s a problem. Leafs fans will say “he left because they didn’t give him any support”. He was flanked with the leagues elite last night and 30 million later.....no goals.

I bet JT would love the current Isles support. What did JT really do to make things better with the Isles? The guy was a bad fit for the Leafs. He does not have the toughness to play in that pressure cooker. JT will put up fine regular season numbers but he will struggle in the playoffs against real defenses and teams. We saw what JT did again Tampa and Hedman.

I think it’s becoming more and more clear that he was not the epicenter piece we all thought. Talented yes.....end to end game changer no. Either way some captains go down with the ship, and others jump ship and find another to sink.

That team was built to score on the PP......I didn’t look but the amount of hits in an elimination game was inexcusable. Too many passengers stick checking. Shoulda stuck with Lou and uncle Barry...

I hated that scummer. Shocking that the league let him get away with so many blatantly dirty hits.

JT is an excellent offensive talent but he has lousy intangibles. I always said he was a lousy captain and was fine going along with Garth and Cappy for years. A real leader and great player would never be fine with those two. The Leafs were coming off a huge win in game 4 and had all the momentum . You cannot get shutout in game 5 and cannot come up small as a captain. It's one thing if Brock Nelson come up small. It's a whole other story if JT comes up small.

what's funny about Babcock is when all those stories came out about what a bad guy he was.. and stuff he did to Marner ..etc. I was reading them thinking... He didn't do anything that bad and some coaches like Herb Brooks, Torts, etc. get their teams to unite by giving them someone to hate a little bit.. like the coach.

Babcock getting "cancelled" b/c he had a rookie rank everyone on the team based on effort and then called out the bottom 5 in front of the whole team is a riot. It for sure would anger the whole team.. but I bet those bottom 5 played well that night.

He flubbed an open net, as captain and 10 million a year. Laughable.

Ironically that leaf team coulda used Kadri who was the only player to play with grit. Tyson Barrie sucks
