Except Ottawa isn't making that deal. 3 and something else maybe. Not Tkachuk tho, Ottawa is keeping him. - Elbows15
yeah, I know, but Ottawa has SO many picks.
I know there is a lot of time between now and the October Draft but I bet the Mpale Leafs and others are gonna try and get their hands on some those picks. and the Canadians picks also.
Teams are gonna want to send those contracts for picks so they have space and to re-work their areas of need encumbered by those fat cap deals and contracts they no longer like.
OTTAWA can get some vets. Not sure Montreal just wants "some vets' but some players...
anyway we know that these play in losses are gonna cause major eruptions in more than one NHL city those there are clear holes and a small purse to work with as things are... |

I'm about 75 miles SW of Chicago - south of Interstate 80 and the storm just blew through here. VERY high winds, lightning and heavy rain. It's still raining but the winds have calmed down to "normal" thunderstorm winds. We've got the hatches battened down. Lost electricity for about 15 mins but it's back on now.

Camelot here in St. Pete.
The rain usually avoids the m morning and hits in the evening when I have no plans to go outside.
OR at night.
I swin in the morning and then at 5:30 get out by 7:00 at the latest.
I am smoking ribs and it is thundering off in the distance, but that can be a regular everyday occurrence - it looks far off like it coming, but goes out to the gulf or to the other side of the Sunshine Skyway bridge close to me in the Pinellas Point.
If the thunder gets too loud, we will vacate or if Hedman or the Lightning flash...
It finally started raining a few weeks ago, before that we weren't getting any drops.
and the last time I had an outage was when my old Canadian satellite went blank in a storm as the hawks were about to pick Danault, that lead to cable.
( Oh, and the Hurricanes three years ago I had no power for 5 days, how quick we forget ou=r minor incovneniences....

Let me say, I am related to someone by a marriage who thinks there are forces in the upper echelon that have a device that create hurricanes wind storms, bad weather, and that the Pensacola hurricane a few years ago was one of the first attempts testing this tech.
Honestly, after Sputnik I became an avid believer in flying saucers.
Now I keep thinking, I think there is life out there, but they don't want to engage with this planet (if they could) , and there are no flying saucers. (I know ->new released footage, etc)
We used the planet to our advantage and unless like in the Twilight Zone, they come To Serve Man, like the Kanamit, we have little to offer them in our hockey blog, but:

I wonder if they are gonna do the back ward count saying at 15 Pittsburgh and then 14, because when they skip a team it becomes abvious who won.
So they announce the winner and they interview the team then player and try and fill a half hour up....
I hope James Duthie is on the show.... |

How many teams do you passionately not want to win the lottery. Then figure the odds a team u despise has _% of landing Lafranierre. |

I think teams are going to have a hard time getting picks for players with a flat cap on the horizon. Not a lot of teams out there with a lot of cap space.
There are going to be some massive sweeteners added is my guess. Rebuilding teams shouldn't be moving picks for vets. Especially after the 1st round. 2nds are nice but the percentages of NHL players drops after the 1st round and really falls after the 2nd. |
